@Alyssa3467 @LucianArgues @JDOdoubleG73 @winecat @GavinNewsom Scalia didn't "open the floodgates" he simply recognized that early state constitutions, courts, and commentators viewed the 2A as an individual right. Your view would make the 2A in the federal constitution an odd outlier.

The Trump administration is waging a vindictive campaign against the organizations that safeguard our democracy.   Weaponizing the DOJ to indict long-standing watchdogs is a message: if you defend voting rights, fight white supremacy, or protect civil rights, you’re next.   This is an assault on the institutions that make freedom real for everyone. They will not succeed.

For $200 billion we could lower health care premiums for tens of millions of Americans. For $200 billion, we could educate a generation and unleash the immense potential of our students. For $200 billion, we could cut hunger in this country in half. For $200 billion, we could invest in jobs, in science, in manufacturing, and we could begin fixing our power grid.
The Washington Post@washingtonpost

Exclusive: The Pentagon asked the White House to approve a more than $200 billion request to Congress to fund the war in Iran, according to an administration official, a new ask that will likely run into resistance from lawmakers opposed to the conflict. wapo.st/4bt8UQk

While mentally ill leftists lose their shit, here’s my take on President Trump wearing his hat during the ceremony: I probably wouldn’t have worn it, personally. However, military members are expected to wear their covers (hats) which I’ve done on more occasions than I want to remember. President Trump is a member of the military chain of command, in fact, he sits at the very top. Bottom line: as the commander in chief, he can wear hats, flight jackets, unit patches, etc. Whatever the hell he wants. Other presidents have done exactly the same. Keep your eye on the ball, Dems. We’re honoring the return of our troops. Period.

A Trump voter asked me last night why I opposed Trump’s attack on Iran. I told him bcuz it’s wrong, it’s unconstitutional, Trump has no fucking clue what he’s doing, he has no end game, and it’s to distract from all the shit he’s causing at home. The Trump voter thanked me for giving him something to think about.

Spare me, Marsha. Tennessee’s violent crime rate is one of the highest in the nation. Californians make more $, live longer, and are overall happier — while you promote policies that have resulted in lawlessness and higher depression rates. Time to turn Tennessee blue.
Marsha Blackburn@VoteMarsha

It looks like Gavin Newsom will be in Nashville this coming weekend. As Governor of California, he has driven his state into becoming the most unaffordable in America. Tennesseans have worked too hard to build what we have, and we’re not interested in @GavinNewsom's failed, radical left policies that have wrecked California.

This is much darker than you think… He’s probably not pushing this because he wants to “abort” infants & toddlers. So why would an adult be suggesting that infants & toddlers are not “conscious beings?” What activity do you suppose he is actually trying to justify?

Planned Parenthood "doctor" Steven Ralston claims that infants and toddlers likely do not feel pain because they are not “conscious beings.”

“Everyone is already talking about this. No one wants to go through what we went through. Now everyone thinks twice.” 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Mike Netter@nettermike

🚨This account from a Venezuelan security guard loyal to Nicolás Maduro is absolutely chilling—and it explains a lot about why the tone across Latin America suddenly changed. Security Guard: On the day of the operation, we didn't hear anything coming. We were on guard, but suddenly all our radar systems shut down without any explanation. The next thing we saw were drones, a lot of drones, flying over our positions. We didn't know how to react. Interviewer: So what happened next? How was the main attack? Security Guard: After those drones appeared, some helicopters arrived, but there were very few. I think barely eight helicopters. From those helicopters, soldiers came down, but a very small number. Maybe twenty men. But those men were technologically very advanced. They didn't look like anything we've fought against before. Interviewer: And then the battle began? Security Guard: Yes, but it was a massacre. We were hundreds, but we had no chance. They were shooting with such precision and speed... it seemed like each soldier was firing 300 rounds per minute. We couldn't do anything. Interviewer: And your own weapons? Didn't they help? Security Guard: No help at all. Because it wasn't just the weapons. At one point, they launched something—I don't know how to describe it... it was like a very intense sound wave. Suddenly I felt like my head was exploding from the inside. We all started bleeding from the nose. Some were vomiting blood. We fell to the ground, unable to move. Interviewer: And your comrades? Did they manage to resist? Security Guard: No, not at all. Those twenty men, without a single casualty, killed hundreds of us. We had no way to compete with their technology, with their weapons. I swear, I've never seen anything like it. We couldn't even stand up after that sonic weapon or whatever it was. Interviewer: So do you think the rest of the region should think twice before confronting the Americans? Security Guard: Without a doubt. I'm sending a warning to anyone who thinks they can fight the United States. They have no idea what they're capable of. After what I saw, I never want to be on the other side of that again. They're not to be messed with. Interviewer: And now that Trump has said Mexico is on the list, do you think the situation will change in Latin America? Security Guard: Definitely. Everyone is already talking about this. No one wants to go through what we went through. Now everyone thinks twice. What happened here is going to change a lot of things, not just in Venezuela but throughout the region.
