Good to see Daniel Zeichner & Baroness Sue Hayman join Defra as Ministers. Both have a firm understanding of why the badger 🦡 cull has failed on cost, effectiveness & cruelty grounds. But clear signs Labour could cave in to pressure from the NFU & kill tens thousands more badgers. Defra Secretary Steve Barclay has today confirmed that badger culling will continue & be expanded to 2030 & beyond which could see up to half a million badgers 🦡 killed. And the Goods News is! So finally after first seeing Little Nutmeg’s three cubs at the end of May one entered Narnia 😍 He/she is now 5 months old and just look at that tail, Tufty I think for a name. I’m hoping to see the other two eventually if they made it, it’s very sad but

We’d like to say huge thanks to the lovely young couple who found her, moved her to the side of the road & then, in an act of kindness & decency covered her with his coat whilst she lay crying in pain 🦡💔 Sadly she passed away just as we got her to the vets 🌈 #BrakeForBadgers

The person who hit her, left her alive but dying in the middle of the road & didn't report it. We'd like to reiterate that we know accidents happen but PLEASE PLEASE, stop, check & report any animal/badger road traffic accidents to your local badger or wildlife group.

Sadly, our small volunteer team have been busy for all the wrong reasons recently due to RTA's but this one really hurt. Last night, this tiny baby cub, approx. 20 weeks and still with her milk teeth, was the latest victim of our ever increasingly busy roads. #BrakeForBadgers

We really do need people to call out this behaviour & we need the support of local police forces to take these matter seriously. No animal deserves to die like this 💔 Help us protect them & preserve them for our future generations 🦡 #badgercrime #urbanbadgers #EnoughIsEnough

A volunteer’s been out & sadly located the dead badger We‘ve taken photos/video & taken the body to Stapeley Grange so an autopsy can be done for the police report We're beyond disgusted this continues to happen & we’re devastated we weren't able to prevent this barbaric death

Despite our attempts to reunite Hope with her mum for the past 2 nights & her own wickering, sadly Hope’s mum didn’t show any interest Today we chauffeured Hope to the fab team at @CuanWildlife so she can be introduced to another cub, rehabbed and released #SavingHope #Badgers

Saving Hope 🦡 Hope was found in a car park on Friday morning, vet checked and spent a night in our badger B&B with the aim to reunite her with her mum last night Here she is getting a lot of TLC from one of our co-founders ❤️ #BadgerRescue #WildlifeRehab #ThatsTheSpot #Badger

Yesterday we were called out to a dead badger in #Hyde. When we arrived the poor badger was still alive & crying in pain. It's not always about saving a badger but it's ALWAYS about ensuring they’re not suffering! Pls report all badger RTA’s to a local group #GiveBadgersABrake
