Axing routes 38 & 55 from Lea Bridge Road was a shock. Save Our Buses criticised lost West End links & reduced frequencies. Chronic traffic congestion led to the cuts. Restoring a decent service would depend on bus priority. It was integral to campaign success!

Hyacinth & the @MayorofLondon @TfL every journey matters advert for #IDPD2022 ‘Well it doesn’t work for me as I can’t travel by bus anymore if I have to get off where there is a cycle lane. I only go out if it absolutely necessary. My independence is being eroded bit by bit’#CRPD

@francesca_kms And once people have walked to the bus stop, they'll find that the bus journeys are slower than ever thanks to TfL and council road policies that manufacture congestion. They'll also find that their bus service isn't as regular as it used to be, or go as far as it used to.

People have their eyes open! Lab candidates refused to attend transport hustings. Why? Can’t defend their policies.

@DailyMail Floating bus stops simply do not work for blind people. The council really need to take them out and let all passengers get on and off the bus with out having to cross a cycle track. x.com/NFBUK/status/2…

@TheGreenParty @alastairis I was in @ZoeGarbett ‘s ward this afternoon, TRYING to take the 38 down Graham Rd. All those road closures for the RICH supported by @hackneygreens are harming poorer people, many of whom are from our diverse communities. But environmental justice obviously doesn’t matter here.

#London Transport (LT) News Clippings: In 1991, bus route C1 was proposed for withdrawal. London General continued to operate the service with premium fares and special fare for Travelcard & bus pass holders, which led to huge reductions and was reinstated to the LT bus network.

Like to highlight blind people are being excluded from using the bus in cycle lanes. Active travel should not mean excluding blind people from traveling by bus due to floating bus stops designs that discriminate. x.com/NFBUK/status/2…

Today I cycled to Walthamstow from central London for the first time (previous longest cycle - half hour maybe?) Using @SadiqKhan’s Cycleways and LTNs built by Labour councils across the city, it made me appreciate the impact of us standing up for active travel. Vote Labour! 🚲
