@dahontr3 @but_cyclists @MetroUK You are missing to critical points: 1. The near-misses would have become collisions if the pedestrians had not repeatedly deferred to the cyclists. 2. You don't take account of extra stress imposed on bus users, esp parents with children and older and disabled people.

The @cityoflondon thinks these are fine and “not unlawful discrimination”. @TfL and the @MayorofLondon says they are accessible along with Government ministers. Blind people are being systematically excluded from travelling beyond their local area because of them, all driven by the cult of cycling.

@RTorre Years after they have been put in LTNs are as controversial as ever. They relocate rather than reduce overall levels of traffic, add to congestion on busy rds, slow down buses and hurt those who depend on their vehicles for their livelihood.

@omids Well that was shocking. A 20% increase in cyclist KSI’s. But you are being misled on a trend based on a 2010 to 14 baseline.

@BBCLondonNews Unfortunately the @cityoflondon Corporation went woke a few years ago and lost its way. Floating bus stops discriminate against blind people. Others loathe them, fearful of the risks - and rightly so - but the Corporation carries on prioritising wokeism over common sense.

Life has just got a whole lot more difficult for a pedestrians, bus users and disabled people. Work on a new cycleway between Aldgate and Blackfriars is to go ahead after it was paused due to concerns about floating bus stops. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

London's 7.1mph average bus speed 'no faster than jogging pace'. New report: faster services could free up millions of pounds for Transport for London (TfL) and dramatically improve daily journeys for commuters.standard.co.uk/news/london/lo…

.@Cityoflondon councillors were recently told that blind people couldn’t use their bus services to travel in and around the City, but nevertheless prioritised cyclists over everyone else with more legalised pavement cycling schemes for their streets.

New zebra crossing at Blackfriars Station floating bus stop. We have tried to explain to @cityoflondon why these bus stops are not safe or accessible for blind people but more are being planned. @citylordmayor can we urgently meet to discuss our concerns please. This is dangerous

@coyleneil But how could he have voted for Zoe from his previous address? It was in Waltham Forest not Hackney. No borders/no boundaries obviously.

Polanski didn’t pay council tax, didn’t vote in local elections and didn’t have a plan or policies for local government. He’s Farage’s mirror. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@EzraArchy @georgebernhard @AndyWandy777 @willnorman @Plaistovian And in Hackney when the stats were collected published figures showed the 24hr average which underrepresented the problem of increased traffic on residential roadsMany LTN victims have been put on inhalers. But hey, what do you care? You & yours are safe.

One of the many benefits of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods is that they make streets safer for cycling. We're working with boroughs to route bike routes through LTNs - with filters & safe crossings of main roads. Great to see the new Cycleway 37 in Hackney 🚲💚

@AndyWandy777 @gawl07 @benjyminty @willnorman @Plaistovian There is one particular bloke making believe he is a group who uses a photo of the protest back in the late 1970s on Graham Rd to try to say that the people on Graham Rd are imagining the post-LTN increase. I know a woman who was at that protest & she is horrified by LTNs.

@gawl07 @benjyminty @willnorman @Plaistovian @indieHackney I've had to block him. He's not going to stop talking out of his arse. Anybody suffering an increase in traffic is imagining it, and if they're not imagining it, they're apparently wrong about the cause!

@benjyminty @willnorman @Plaistovian @indieHackney Regardless, people on residential streets are experiencing more vehicles than they were previously, so other roads can benefit from fewer vehicles. Why should people have to endure additional pollution purely to benefit people on neighbouring, more privileged streets?
