Eight months ago, Rep. Sylvester Turner D-TX died. His seat in the U.S. House is still vacant. On Tuesday, two Dems advanced to a runoff for that seat. When is the runoff?? We don't know. That runoff date still must be set by Gov. Greg Abbott.

It's been 44 days since Arizonans elected Adelita Grijalva, but more than 800,000 people still don't have representation in the House because Speaker Mike Johnson refuses to swear her in. Do. Your. Job.

The real issue isn’t left vs right. It’s not white vs black. It’s not citizen vs immigrant. It’s not gay vs straight. The real issue is that a lot of powerful people have a vested interest — and a lot of money invested — in dividing us, and it’s working.

In light of today’s shooting death of Charlie Kirk, it’s worth remembering that while Paul Pelosi was lying in the ICU with a fractured skull, vile ghouls like Don Jr. thought it was comedy content. These people don’t just enable violence - they celebrate it.

Sad to see so many people lionizing Charlie Kirk as a devoted, loving Christian. His murder is despicable and vile, but that doesn’t erase the incalculable harm he has done to people of color, to women, to immigrants, to queer people, as well as to the minds of young white men. He is the victim of unfathomable violence, he is a father and husband taken too soon by an inhumane act of hatred, he is someone who did not deserve to die, but he is not a Christian martyr.

@SecKennedy Um - we had MILLIONS of people get these vaccines. You only do placebo-controlled trials when you want to generalize results to the broader population. If the population has already had the shots, then you have your answer. Trials are a waste of time and money at this point.

I promised 4 things: 1. to end covid vaccine mandates. 2. to keep vaccines available to people who want them, especially the vulnerable. 3. to demand placebo-controlled trials from companies. 4. to end the emergency. In a series of FDA actions today we accomplished all four goals. The emergency use authorizations for Covid vaccines, once used to justify broad mandates on the general public during the Biden administration, are now rescinded. FDA has now issued marketing authorization for those at higher risk: Moderna (6+ months), Pfizer (5+), and Novavax (12+). These vaccines are available for all patients who choose them after consulting with their doctors. The American people demanded science, safety, and common sense. This framework delivers all three.
