#BreakingNews: 28 Hostages Freed as Naga and Kuki Sides Release 14 Each #ManipurCrisis: One of the women released from Ireng Liangmai (Naga) village recounted the ordeal, stating that they were blindfolded with their hands tied behind their backs and moved through various mountainous and jungle locations during their captivity. “We were blindfolded, our hands tied behind our back and taken up and down to various locations of the mountainous and jungle region. We even had our food blindfolded. However, we were never touched once or assaulted,” she said. It may be noted that the #Kuki hostages at Senapati were kept in an undisclosed location in a hall not blindfolded. However, the whereabouts of six male detainees from Konsakhul, a #Naga village, who were reportedly being held at Leilon Vaiphei village, remain unknown at the time of filing this report. Out of the six Nagas, only two have been identified so far. The others were so brutally mutilated and chopped into pieces that their family members have not been able to identify them even until now. The world must know, these Kukis are the very people who portray themselves as true Christians, peace-loving, innocent hill tribals, minorities, Scheduled Tribes, and Adivasis from Manipur. EKCA Condemns Brutal Attack on Kultuh Village, 2 Killed CHASSAD, Kamjong, June 11, 2026 — Eastern Kuki Chiefs’ Association (EKCA) strongly condemned a brutal attack on Kultuh Village at 4:00 a.m. today by alleged Tangkhul Narco Terrorists of NSCN (Eastern Flank) and Shanni National Army (SNA) Junta. Attackers set fire to seven houses including the village church. Two civilians, Letminlun Haokip, Head Deacon and Lunminthang Haokip, Youth Chairman of Kultuh Church, were killed. Two others injured and are receiving treatment. EKCA called it a grave violation of human rights and assault on peace.
