Remember, no Maccabi Tel Aviv fans will be travelling to this match from Israel and yet, 700 officers will be required.
Israeli football fans were never the threat, the Islamist mobs are the real problem.

@George_Smooth @graeme_cobb @AutoExpress You know that at the end of the day is the customer that pays the tariffs ?
English

@graeme_cobb @AutoExpress Chinese industrial energy costs $0.11/kw coupled with much cheaper wages and its a non compete situation. The tarrifs should be higher to protect local production and jobs.
English

Interesting article by Phil McNamara from @AutoExpress that misses one vital piece of the puzzle.
Back in 2019 an entry level VW Golf cost just over £18,000.
Roll on to 2025 and an entry level Golf now costs just under £30,000.
Inflation adjusted the Golf should cost approximately £23,000 today.
This isn’t VW specific because the same is true with other legacy manufacturers.
It means legacy manufacturers have left the goal wide open for Chinese manufacturers to enter - with a 10% import tariff applied - and still undercut on price.
So they’ve [legacy] made themselves uncompetitive at a critical moment.
The questions that need answering are:
- Why are legacy manufacturers selling their cars well above inflation?
- What has gone wrong to warrant high prices?
- Why can’t they bring their MSRP prices down?

I was looking for Pokémon cards with my daughter and found this new @MonsterEnergy flavor. I love anything apple flavored so I had to get one to try.

@AutoInfatuation What terrible cars they made. Especially the ones equipped with the notoriously unreliable 1.9 diesels. They only lasted for 8-900k miles, total junk
English

VAG couldn’t make a decent car between 2000 - 2010 🤔
But this chap is an industry expert……….allegedly.
I’ll put it out to those of you who actually both like and know a thing or two about cars.
Put some of these ‘bad’ VAG cars built in that 10 year period below 👇
I’ll start - Audi RS4 B7, built between 2005 & 2008. A notoriously terrible car with every reviewer giving horrible marks such as 4/5 and 8’s & 9’s/10 🙄👎

Deport Foreign Criminals@peterstopcrime
@AutoInfatuation Ooh, touched a nerve. You’re well aware that VAG couldn’t make a decent car between 2000 and 2010 and you still went and bought one. A8s of your gen, were scrap from the off, I can only imagine how bad a high mileage is. Oof and yeah I’m an industry expert 😂
English

Built on the same platform as the Bentley Continental GT, yet humble enough to have cloth seats and a manual gearbox.
The base Phaeton proved that German engineering doesn’t need prestige to impress.
Front-wheel drive, 241 HP, and craftsmanship that still feels Bentley-grade.
A luxury car for those who didn’t care who noticed.
Another weird thing, it's possible to convert any VR6 Phaeton into a manual.

@SaabEnjoyer Food, drink, 6ig salary, second home allowance, staff are family, claim back travel.
But woah, someone on average UK wage?.fuck he can't have a vehicle that does exactly what it was designed for.
English

Americans drive so much its crazy.
Over here the general consensus is that 6000 miles a year is already pretty high mileage (80% of those miles is in traffic)
ٍ@horsepower
I bought the Honda Fit exactly 1 week ago today, and I’ve already put nearly 5,000 miles on the car. I’ve surprisingly gotten used to the uncomfortable seats. I’ll hold out on the Recaros for now. Fantastic car 👍
English

@CarSighting @funandprofitco Oh so basically the consumption is half considering the fuel is also half price haha
English

@funandprofitco That’s highway consumption, constantly at 130km/h without stopping 😅
I’m running on e85 though, but I’ll definitely change all the fluids and filters when I get home
English

Good news ! I bought a Volvo wagon
Bad news !!!! The fuel consumption is criminal

VINTAGE@CarSighting
