A general who just got forced out calling the Commander in Chief a "madman" on his way out the door isn't whistleblowing. It's a parting shot from someone who lost a power struggle and wants to burn the house down on the way out.
Let's be real about what's happening here. The Pentagon brass has been at war with civilian oversight for years. These are the same generals who oversaw 20 years of failure in Afghanistan, couldn't define what winning looked like, and handed the Taliban a country full of American weapons.
The military's job is to execute the civilian leadership's strategy, not override it. When generals start calling elected presidents madmen in public it's not patriotism. It's insubordination dressed up in a uniform.
And the timing. Iran just attacked the UAE, there's a missing American pilot on the ground, and this guy's parting gift is a quote that'll be on every Iranian and Chinese state media channel within the hour. How is that serving the country?
The generals who actually win wars don't go on press tours after they resign. They go home. The ones who make dramatic exit statements usually have something else going on. Always ask who benefits from the chaos.
Trump was elected specifically to break up the permanent war machine that these generals represent. The resistance from inside the Pentagon isn't evidence he's wrong. It's evidence he's over the target.

This is a fair question and it deserves a real answer not just dismissal. The people who voted for Trump bc he was the anti-war candidate have every right to ask where that guy went. Hoping this is pressure and dealmaking, not another 20 year commitment.

💢 Iranian state-linked media published photos Saturday showing a heavily damaged U.S. Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter at an airbase in Kuwait, claiming it was struck by an Iranian drone.
Iran’s Mehr News Agency said the aircraft was involved in the search and rescue operation for the missing crew member of a downed U.S. F-15E. The U.S. has not confirmed the strike on the Chinook or its involvement in the operation.
If confirmed, it would mark a significant achievement for Iran. The CH-47, a heavy-lift transport capable of carrying 55 troops or 26,000 pounds of cargo, costs roughly $38 million per aircraft.
