Mental Health in Youth: A Regional & Global Priority! 🧠🌍 At #74ECSAHMC, Ms. Salome Mosha (CYHN-Tanzania) @Sally_mosha emphasized the urgent need for policy action, investment & community engagement to tackle youth mental health challenges across Africa & beyond. Shocking Findings: ✅ 24.9% of youth reported a history of mental health conditions, mainly depression. ✅ 48.4% cited family issues & 23.4% unemployment as primary risk factors. ✅ 98.9% are willing to seek mental health services, but access remains limited. ✅ 70%+ spend 2+ hours daily on social media, impacting well-being.
