Namibia has welcomed the outcomes of the African G20 Summit, commending South Africa for placing the continent’s priorities at the centre of global discussions. Speaking during the consideration of the G20 report, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted key focus areas, including a fair energy transition, debt sustainability, industrialisation, job creation, reduced inequality, and food security. The President supported stronger G20–Africa partnerships and called for the Compact with Africa to be aligned with the African Continental Free Trade Area to boost manufacturing, infrastructure, and regional trade. She also urged fairer global financing systems, noting that many African countries are forced to divert resources from development to service debt, and called for strengthened debt treatment frameworks and more concessional financing. Namibia further welcomed the reports commissioned by the South African G20 Presidency and supported their submission to the United Nations to advance a more inclusive multilateral system.

We are being insulted again. Even if 100% of White South Africans had voted to end apartheid wouldn’t make up for the pain and grief the system inflicted on majority of South Africans. Let’s just accept that apartheid was a crime against humanity and shouldn’t have been there in the first place. The National Party didn’t end apartheid because they had developed good caring hearts. Apartheid ended because it was an Evil unsustainable system.
