Only the BC NDP could devise a cleaver way to lose North Coast-Haida Gwaii, a riding they won in 2020 with 73% of the vote. The BC NDP decided to run Tamara Davidson who is the textbook definition of a parachute candidate as she doesn't live anywhere close to the riding. That is on top of Premier Eby smearing the Indigenous Conservative Party candidate (Chris Sankey) which was not appreciated at all by the local community. This is a riding to watch how hard it can swing on October 19th.

I’m a blue-collar guy who never aspired to be a public figure, and certainly not a politician. Like many of us I have made posts on social media years ago that make me wince, which don’t reflect what I think or who I am today. I recognized this and deleted them. I do not want my old, unfortunate comments to distract from the important work currently being done to fix our incredible province. As a result, I have informed the Conservative Party of BC that, effective immediately, I will be stepping down as the candidate for Courtenay-Comox. My most sincere possible thank you to everyone who supported me on this journey, it has been quite the education. I leave with high hopes, in good spirit, with deep humility, and gratefulness in my heart.
