Bunker Hunt’s net worth peaked to an estimate of $16B in 1980. That is worth about $64B today adjusted for inflation. Elon’s net worth today is about $850B. When Elon’s house of cards implodes he’s going to wipe out trillions of others net worth as well as his own net worth going to zero. He will be considered a villain of epic proportions when that happens and should and will go to prison, IMHO.

No it’s a fallacious excuse to raise money. It’s to raise capital in order to stay solvent when its current auto business starts bleeding cash. It makes zero sense for #tesla to build a fab they don’t need and that they have no expertise in building. Companies with orders of magnitude more need for advanced semiconductors right now (e.g. $nvda, $appl) rely in TSMC and other third party foundries. Elon's game plan was to boost the stock with blatantly false statements and use Ives and other shills to boost it further. Then, when the truth that these statements were totally fraudulent becomes obvious, the stock will tank from ridiculously elevated levels. But the stock still ends up way higher than it would have been if Elon hadn't lied in the first place. However, ultimately, the stock will end up at zero, $tsla, and #elon will be forced into bankruptcy to protect themselves from the massive shareholder and customer liability lawsuits.
