Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Executive Director, BPCL, was part of a high-level Indian delegation visiting the U.S. to explore Alcohol-to-Jet (AtJ) Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), focusing on technical, policy, market dimensions and carbon lifecycle impact. As India, a founding member and current chair of the Global Biofuels Alliance (GBA), aims to scale SAF production – particularly ethanol-based AtJ pathways – this mission sought direct exposure to the U.S. value chain including development of technology, feedstock sourcing, lifecycle modeling, policy incentives and operational facilities. The delegation also engaged with key stakeholders like DOE, USDA,FAA, key licensors, and Airlines too. India’s SAF roadmap under GBA, underscores BPCL’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. #GlobalBiofuelsAlliance #SustainableAviationFuel #EnergyTransition #BPCL (1/2)

I had first appeared on BBC HARDtalk in 2002 as India’s Dy High Commissioner to the UK for a pointed discussion on cross border terrorism with Tim Sebastian in what was then regarded as a rigorously researched program. More than two decades later, I had an interesting conversation with the current host Stephen Sackur (before the program signs off sometime next month), on India’s awe inspiring journey under the leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji, the distance our energy sector has travelled, our focus on climate goals and green energy transition, the future of fossil fuel as it firmly competes with emerging fuels, and on India’s vibrant democracy, strengths of our democratic institutions, robustness of our fourth estate, freedom of expression, and above all, what appears to fascinate many around the world, our firm and confident march into a glorious future towards being #ViksitBharat or a developed nation. @PMOIndia @PetroleumMin @MEAIndia @PIB_India @BBCHARDtalk @ANI @PTI_News @ReutersAsia @HCI_London @indiandiplomats @ians_india @stephensackur

BPCL Unveils Cutting-Edge Hydrant Facilities at Manohar International Airport in Goa In a momentous occasion for aviation in India, Shri Sukhmal Kumar Jain, Director (Marketing) BPCL inaugurated state-of-the-art hydrant facilities at the newly established Manohar International Airport in north Goa. Shri Kanwarbir Singh Kalra (Deputy CEO, Manohar International Airport), Shri Srikanth Bhandarkar (Chief Commercial Officer, Manohar International Airport), Shri. Kamlesh Poonia (CISF-Commandant, Manohar International Airport), Shri. A Haridas ( Assistant commissioner of Customs Manohar International Airport), along with senior leadership from BPCL, Shri Kani Amudhan, Executive Director (CPO), Shri Dinabandhu Mondal, Executive Director (Engg & Projects), Shri Sanjeev Raina, Executive Director (HSSE), Shri S. Abbas Akhtar, Executive Director (PR & Brand) and Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Head Aviation Business graced the event, marking a significant milestone in bolstering aviation infrastructure in the region. The introduction of the advanced hydrant facility is a strategic move by BPCL to cater to the rapidly growing refuelling demands of the new greenfield airport. Notably, Manohar International Airport serves as a crucial addition to Goa's aviation landscape, supplementing the existing Naval airport in Dabolim. The Naval airport, hitherto the primary hub, has faced constraints due to limited operational hours for civil aircraft. After the start of operations at MOPA, the combined traffic at both the airports has increased. Spanning across 6 acres of land, the hydrant fuel farm boasts the storage capacity of 8,270KL. A testament to modern engineering, the hydrant system comprises an intricate network of underground pipelines seamlessly connecting to the airport's 13 aircraft parking bays. Moreover, the entire operation is meticulously managed through a fully automated console, ensuring efficiency and safety in fuel distribution.

BPCL has entered into an agreement with Noida International Airport to lay a dedicated aviation turbine fuel (ATF) pipeline from BPCL’s Piyala Terminal to the greenfield airport tank farm. Spanning 34 kilometers, with a 1.2-kilometer section within the airport premises, this pipeline will meet the airport's ATF demand while reducing carbon emissions. Once operational, this pipeline, operating on a common /contract carrier basis, will ensure seamless fuel transportation to the greenfield airport. @NIAirport #BPCL #AviationFuel #NoidaAirport #Collaboration #Sustainability

BPCL stands as a testament to excellence in India's energy sector. With a strong work culture and top-notch talent, it's been a cornerstone of success. During a period of unprecedented international price volatility, it steadfastly acted a good corporate citizen and protected our citizens from high fuel prices. And now, in the first three quarters of this year alone, BPCL's net profit earnings have nearly matched the targeted earnings to the Government of India from its disinvestment! @business_today @BPCLimited #BTBestCEOAwards2024
