New York has weathered the biggest snowstorm in years and is back to business as usual. Thank you @NYCMayor @ZohranKMamdani for leading the city's response on the ground and Gov. @GovKathyHochul for mobilizing state resources. Special shoutout to @NYCSanitation , @NYC_DOT, @NYSDOT, @NYSDHSES , @FDNY, @NYPDnews, @NotifyNYC , and @NYSPolice for their tireless work. Businesses are open, kids are back in school. New York always rises to any challenge.

I am sickened by this antisemitic vandalism in Borough Park. Antisemitism has no place in our city, and I stand shoulder to shoulder with the Jewish New Yorkers who were targeted. My administration is working closely with the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force as well as our Parks Department, and those responsible will be investigated and held accountable.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani promised to ease the burden on NYC small business owners, and today he delivered! His executive order directs seven city agencies to review fees and civil penalties, aiming to reduce and streamline them. Small businesses are the backbone of our neighborhoods, and this action cuts through the maze of overlapping fees and permits, making it easier to open and operate in NYC.

The Grand Rabbi departed Monday morning for a 3-week vacation in Palm Springs via private plane. He'll be praying daily at the local Chabad House. Wishing him a relaxing getaway and a safe return home, fresh and healthy for the hope and prayer of the entire community.

Tragic accident occurred in Jerusalem at the intersection of Yirmiyahu and Shamgar, where a bus rammed into the crowd. A 13 year boy was killed, and multiple others were injured. The incident took place during a gathering of thousands for the Eida HaChareidis anti-draft protest.

Last night marked Kuf Alef Kislev, the 81st anniversary of the Satmar Rebbe Joel Teitelbaum’s escape from Nazi-occupied Europe. His rescue and later founding of the Williamsburg Hasidic community helped shape the future of our city. These celebrations recognize that history and the remarkable rebirth that followed. I was so grateful to join and greet the rebbes.
