@tunkhin80 A Rohingya activist met with Mehadi Hassan Palash a racist muslim settler & editor of Parbattanews, a newspaper regularly spread hatred against Buddhist & Hindu indigenous people in Chittagong hill tracts, Bangladesh. Are Rohingyas now working against Buddhist in CHT?

Let me ask you who provides arms, training to those Rohingya islamic terrorist groups? How Ata Ullahs and other islamic terrorists keep abducting and killing Buddhist civilians not only in Burma but also in Ramu, Teknaf in BD? The answer: BANGLADESH ARMY
Kerry Kennedy@KerryKennedyRFK

I join members of the @FortifyRights Leadership Council along with Rohingya-led groups in calling on the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court to seek an arrest warrant for Ata Ullah, leader of the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA). Under Ata Ullah's command, ARSA has killed, abducted, and tortured Rohingya civilians in Myanmar and Bangladesh. These atrocity crimes demand accountability. The ICC must act. @UNPeacekeeping : Bangladesh army protect civilians. Chittagong Hill Tracts: LOL! So, who is massacring, killing, and persecuting Buddhist and Christian minorities in the Chittagong Hill Tracts?
UN Peacekeeping@UNPeacekeeping

4,000+ Bangladeshi🇧🇩 peacekeepers currently serve across our missions. They protect civilians in some of the world's most complex places. During a visit to #DRC, @UN Global Peace Advocate @Alhan_islam spent time with the contingent in @MONUSCO. #ServingForPeace #InvestInPeace

Yesterday, Chakma woman in Dhaka, Bangladesh was harassed by a Bengali man who mocked her by saying “Chung-Chang”, a slur targeting people with East Asian features from the Chittagong Hill Tracts. The brave woman confronted him and taught him a lesson. #অপয়াজাতি

In Bangladesh, 9,000 civilian volunteers have been called up by the government to train in arms and combat skills to keep India in check, while India is busy patting Yunus on the back.

Imagine living in a country as part of an indigenous minority of fewer than one million people, where you are surrounded by these people 24/7, and rape, killings, and land grabbing are state-sponsored.

The student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, Shibir, has announced a Chakma student as part of their panel for the upcoming DUCSU election. I see this as a positive development.

#Bangladesh should immediately review and overturn the unjust sentence of Michael Chakma, an Indigenous rights & political activist, to 8 years in prison. Michael was forcibly disappeared in DGFI’s notorious secret detention site for 5 years and tortured under the previous government. The Interim Gov’t and @ChiefAdviserGoB must protect victims of disappearances and end the weaponization of criminal laws to silence peaceful dissent.

Bangladesh Army personnel forcibly took coconuts from indigenous Marma villagers in Bandarban district, paying only 30 taka per coconut, far below the actual market price. They also take chickens, cows & goats from the Buddhist villagers on a daily basis without paying any price.

Update: In a rare twist of fate, a fire caused by an electrical fault, gutted 17 shops owned by muslim settlers last night in Guimara, Khagrachhari, Bangladesh. Days earlier, these settlers, alongside Bangladesh Army, were involved in an massacre on indigenous communities.

In the hills of Bangladesh, the indigenous people are enduring unimaginable suffering. Just a few days ago, an indigenous teenage girl was raped. In the wake of this atrocity, the hill people took to the streets demanding justice. Those who raised their voices were met with bullets, leaving them bloodied by the soldiers. A helpless daughter clings to the arms of a helpless father. Meanwhile, the Bengali settlers from the plains are seizing the hills, ravaging the land, and committing acts of rape and murder against the hill people with impunity. Where can the hill people seek justice? No government has ever delivered it. And now, the one who sits on the country’s throne—a ruthless usurer—sits there blindfolded, indifferent to their cries.
