An elderly woman stood frozen at the Rajiv Chowk metro station gate during the 6 p.m. rush hour. Her smart card was flashing red with an insufficient balance, and the queue behind her was growing loud and impatient. Tears welled up in her eyes as she explained to the guard that she didn't know how to use the online top-up machine and was rushing to see her daughter in the hospital. A young corporate professional in a sharp suit stepped out of the fast-moving crowd. Without a word, he tapped his own card to let her through, walked her down to the platform, and handed her a brand-new metro card pre-loaded with ₹1,000. Before she could ask for his phone number to pay him back via UPI, he smiled, told her to look after her daughter, and disappeared into the crowd.

Walkability starts with visibility. A sidewalk hidden behind illegally parked vehicles signals obstruction and uncertainty, making pedestrians instinctively choose the carriageway instead.

Sleep Well. Protect Your Metabolic Health 😴 Sleep is one of the most overlooked pillars of metabolic health. Even a few nights of inadequate sleep can increase hunger, insulin resistance, cravings and the risk of weight gain and type 2 diabetes. Aim for 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night. Better sleep today can lead to better metabolic health tomorrow. Ref: PMID: 18929315 This infographic is intended for education and awareness.

"Teach these Kafirs a lesson!" said Tahir Hussain to a Muslim mob, according to the court that has convicted him for Delhi riots. At the moment of reckoning, it didn't matter to Hussain that his party leader, his friends, and those who voted for him were also Kafirs. Clarity.

Hearing of heavy rain and landslides in Arunachal Pradesh just as we returned to Bengaluru after experiencing the magic of scenic forests, waterfalks, rivers, lakes, beautiful smiling people and valleys filled with flowers... Prayers for people to stay safe... although saw how roads even in the highest mountains are quickly cleared and remain open Truly, seeing is believing. Arunachal is as beautiful as J&K and people are so warm, kind and welcoming 🙏 Thanks to @BROindia for connectivity and @adgpi for keeping our borders defended at all times in such tough terrain and weather 🫡 Jai Hind Ki Sena 🇮🇳

Her name is Meeran Chadha Borwankar. A minister sat across a table from her and ordered her to hand over three acres of police land to a private bidder. She said no. He lost his temper and hurled the map across the glass table between them. She stood up, saluted him, and walked out. She joined the Indian Police Service in 1981, at a time when a woman in a police uniform in India was almost a curiosity. She went on to become the first woman to head the Mumbai crime branch, and the first woman to lead the Pune police. In 2010, soon after she took charge in Pune, she was told to complete the handover of a valuable piece of police land in the heart of the city. The land had already been auctioned off to a private bidder before her time. She was expected to simply sign it away. She looked at it and refused. The land, she said, was needed for the police themselves, for their offices and for homes for the constables and their families, the men and women who guard the city and often cannot afford to live in it. Handing it to a builder, she said plainly, would look like the new commissioner had sold herself out. The minister overruled her and told her the matter was closed. She told him, gently and finally, that she would not do it. The map came flying across the table. She saluted, and left. It cost her. The posting she wanted did not come. But she wrote to the government demanding the whole deal be cancelled, and she kept fighting until the land was returned to the police, where it belonged. Years later, the bidder who had been due to receive that land was named as an accused in one of the biggest corruption cases in the country. She had no way of knowing that at the time. She simply refused to hand over what was not hers to give.

Representatives of the Indian diaspora have expressed disappointment over comments by Opposition leaders regarding the Modi Express flight and allegations that the community gathering was a paid event. The organisers of Modi Express claims, neither BJP nor Govt funded but the Indian-Australians, paid & volunteered on their own accord. Diaspora representatives have demanded a public apology.

This is what he did. This is what the liberals defended. This is what they whitewashed.
Mahesh Jethmalani@JethmalaniM

Never forget how India’s so called 'liberal ecosystem' defended Tahir Hussain. When Intelligence Bureau officer Ankit Sharma was murdered during the Delhi riots in 2020 and his body was recovered from a drain, the ecosystem did not stand with Ankit’s family. It rushed to manufacture victimhood for the accused. The likes of Rana Ayyub declared that Tahir had been arrested merely “because he’s a Hussain.” Others portrayed him as an innocent Muslim being framed by a vindictive Hindu-majoritarian state. Every uncomfortable fact was dismissed as propaganda. Every demand for justice was labelled communal. Today, a Delhi court - not the BJP, not television anchors, not “WhatsApp University” - has convicted former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain of murder, kidnapping, promoting enmity and rioting in the killing of Ankit Sharma. The mask has fallen. For this ecosystem, the presumption of innocence is sacred when the accused suits its politics. But a murdered Hindu becomes an inconvenient footnote, his family’s grief erased because acknowledging his killers would destroy their preferred narrative of the Delhi riots. They did not merely get the story wrong. They attempted to reverse the roles of victim and perpetrator to turn a convicted murderer into a symbol of persecution and bury Ankit Sharma twice: once in a drain, and again beneath their propaganda. Never forget the crime. And never forget those who defended the criminal.
