@SaynotoAC

The excessive & irresponsible use of AC is causing urban heat & air pollution. In this climate crisis it is necessary to limit our AC use. Also check our FB pg.

@gemsofbabus_ Any expert will say that ACs contribute to global warming.Their power consumption is more than 15x than that of ceiling fan & the energy comes from burning of coal.Their refrigerants are potent greenhouse gases that trap heat & their waste heat raises city's temp by more than 2°C

suffer from lost livelihood due to being unable to travel due to expensive fares. So, it's necessary for people to pressurize the authorities to ensure that AC trains are not increased, & public transport is expanded in an eco-friendly way. This requires a comprehensive approach.

This will alienate 100 crore Indians &increase heat island effect

We may have different views on this. The fact is AC trains benefit only the rich with increased fares, not the majority working class heroes. Increasing the frequency of trains will help. Non-AC trains are eco-friendly, I don't understand why people are allergic to natural breeze blowing onto their faces when the train is speeding & want to convert natural air into airconditioned air. We can't keep on converting natural air into airconditioned air without solving the root cause of growing more trees in urban areas that act as natural Airconditioners

@mumbaiwalking That doesn't mean that one can misuse ACs just because of following a 'blind ignorant trend' that everyone is upgrading. Please look up AC regulations in Europe-Spain, Germany, France. Ideally one has to limit their cooling emissions,India is ignorant & doing the opposite

A word of thanks and gratitude to @rajarahebarkhan for highlighting the fact that Bandra Station is in need of greenery outside. Making life easier and cooler for commuters. Responsible leadership for the planet, environment first. Thank you. 🌏💚😊

Not everyone can escape the heat. Map the most vulnerable—school kids, blue/white-collar workers, farmers, gig workers, and outdoor laborers. Build policies that protect the most exposed. #HeatProtection #MahVotesforEnvironment Read the manifesto - tinyurl.com/mwefyys7

Maharashtra’s climate budget allocates ₹10.5k cr to urban flooding & water—only ₹9.7k cr to heat stress. Cities need more for shade, cooling centers, and energy-efficient buildings to tackle rising temperatures. Funding must reflect urgency.#GreenBudget #MahVotesforEnvironment

Our cities are sweltering, and it's time to act. We need a targeted, time-bound Urban Tree Shade Improvement Plan . A greener city isn't just about aesthetics,it's essential for cooling streets, cutting energy costs, and boosting quality of life.#MahVotesforEnvironment 🌳

Increase the electricity bill tariffs by at least 50% for those residential and commercial buildings that indiscriminately use high power consuming devices like ACs. Allot more funding from the Maharashtra climate budget to heat stress in urban & rural areas.

Ensure that at least 80% of all public transport (including buses, trains, metros, monorails and ferries) in each district separately, is non-air-conditioned. Cancel the plans of air-conditionization of public transport. #MahVotesforEnvironment

Future-proof our cities by mandating high energy-efficiency standards for all new buildings—LEED and beyond. Efficiency is freedom: it reduces long-term costs, boosts resilience, and slows climate change. Let’s build smart from the ground up.#GreenBuilding #MahVotesforEnvironment
