@SazTy1 @AngelaRayner So Sarah, you never needed medical treatment, used lawyers and managed to avoid using tech, engineering and science resulting from academic research and training. Nor have you ever enjoyed arts and media created by folk who went to uni. Well done you.

It's been nine years since the Lib Dems betrayed students over tuition fees, don't let them fool you again. Labour will be different. We have pledged to abolish tuition fees. We mean it, I will be honoured to deliver this pledge in government. #VoteLabour🌹independent.co.uk/voices/general…

@BBCBreaking Can't believe this takes precedence over loss of lives and bombardment of Ukraine and other news if real concern. I'm not interested, stop being a tabloid news channel

@BobbyMenonn @Lord_Sugar And....the chemicals that will be required to be used to clean up their mess....just one consequence of their purile action. Any sympathy Ihad with that cause gone. We need to produce less milk/meat. To target Waitrose the better of the producers? Stupid and ignorant wasters.

@akshat1217 @TacticallyMatt Don't think he had a problem with MotM...just stated if an opposing goalkeeper wins it, you have to look at something being wrong in your team...i.e LFC not converting on target attempts to goals. He acknowledged the good goalkeeping.

@TacticallyMatt Can't see anything wrong in what he said. Stupid question he persisted on her clarifying (some would have discarded & moved on) before giving an honest & self critical answer. It's a raw defeat so daft questions likely to rub the most patient of managers

@clarelock8 @DeborahMeaden @cooksimon Councils & schools can buy tests in bulk & could provide testing for staff (?) or buy some yourself as I have (£1.10 each). Doesnt stop you getting it though 😉 just alerts you to stay away if you have it really which is why I bought mine (I've elderly parents I care for)

@DeborahMeaden @cooksimon And teaching staff ? I work in a special school with vulnerable children , many who require personal care .. we don’t get free tests as in understand. I’ve just had covid for the 2nd time caught from a child

@mikegalsworthy Check your facts first or your whole publication has no credibility. We know free testing will still be available fir those roles but even the claim it would cost £50/month is wrong. I want to test before going to my offices and bought approved tests £1.10 each. Bargain.

@RobertJudd4 @afneil interesting thx...we agree though comparing is pointless really unless you have a really low rate worth learning from..and at the end of the day...they're all tragic numbers from an unprecedented event. time for press to be constructive not destructive.

Another interview with the Government in which the broadcaster’s sole theme is — why didn’t you/don’t you lockdown, sooner, tougher, longer?

@JeremyClarkson Well said Jeremy. I saw Alan Sugar saying similar re our negative media. The country needs positivity, not lazy journalism, now. Let's hope more people with a voice say similar and that they listen. Happy New Year btw.

@JeremyClarkson We're in an evolving situation. Of course things will change last minute. Of course hindsight is amazing. Of course the media scum and left will call it a U-turn, because of its negative connotations. If ppl think things are bad now, be grateful labour isn't in power.

@JeremyClarkson THANK GOODNESS I'm not the only one thinking this. terrible journalism. media have more to answer for during this pandemic than anyone else, twisting words / context. We'd have lost wars if theyd acted like this then.

@RobertJudd4 @afneil stats also misleading mapped against other countries as we have denser population and more ethnicity than others...not to mention obesity / diabetes in all our races here. All risk factors.

@afneil Virtually every country in Europe has really followed the same plan of tiers, lockdowns, curfews but none of them have been successful. Stats are misleading as they all have different methods, I wonder why 28 day rule, either you died of covid or you didn't?

@AndyBurnhamGM The schools can be safe..its what the kids do on their way to & from school that's the prob. They mingle closely together outside of school and in shops in between...then go home (some of them) to older family.

I can’t see how a blanket “schools are safe” statement is correct or helpful. Some might be; others less so. It all depends on the circumstances within the school & the number of cases locally. Surely the answer is to trust people at local level to make the right decisions?

Parents should send their children to primary schools that are open in England on Monday, Boris Johnson has said, adding: 'There is no doubt in my mind that schools are safe.' itv.com/news/2021-01-0…
