I’m not sure if they are or not to be honest. I would imagine even at $10k - $20k a month, it may not be enough to move the needle for some of these guys. Probably needs someone to set up a network of guys open to personal coaching no different than a music agents talent book for parents to be able to consider it. Not sure how else it could be accessed it if it doesn’t exist.

Random thought while sitting on my back deck drinking coffee: I wonder how much somebody would be willing to pay(per year) for a junior golfer(with professional aspirations) to receive full time instruction and guidance from almost any past PGA Tour or DP World Tour winner.

It’s been fun getting to watch his mind work with all the movement on the course. I usually ask him before he hits what he sees about the shot and he nailed that one from the start. Land short and left and let the green do the work. Enjoy it! The fairways and greens are perfect 👌

Every player that’s a top 15 player in the NBA does this. It’s annoying but it’s the game. It’s not Shai’s legacy. His legacy is being a midrange genius when the midrange was dead. Add to the fact that he is a great defender as a star player and is a great role model. Thankful he is on our team.

Money games can get fun out at Karsten because the winner of the last hole picks the tee on the next. Only 3 out the 5 avoided the trouble on this one!

Always had a dream to put together one of those bad ass cover bands that just traveled around and did live power hours in college towns. Played 2 hours total. 1 hour power hour and then 1 hour just great cover songs after everyone is drunk. Bar sells a shot glass on a necklace and 6 beers to get in. Power hour band hits a gong every 60 seconds.

Do the kids these days still do power hours? Do they have the program that makes every song a minute? And if we’re going deep into Kazaa lore Homer would burp after every song. Power Hours are THE most underrated pregame. I hope I haven’t done my last one (15 years ago?)

@WampumMining @GreenGCA @callahan_kyle 13 looks like nothing I could have ever pictured at Karsten but it’s such a good hole. One of my favorites for sure. My top one though is 3 currently. Something about cresting over the hill and hearing the waterfall in the trees and the creek running always gets me.

People will spend $2k–$10k on a website without blinking… But hesitate to spend $1k on a logo. Even though the logo is the thing that ends up on: Their trucks Their shirts Their signs Their entire identity And sticks around for years. From the designer side, it’s not even close. Websites have patterns. There are proven structures. You’re mostly executing well if you understand the patterns. Logos? You’re starting from zero. Infinite directions. Owner has strong opinions (even if they say they don’t). Revisions go everywhere. And you’re trying to land something they’ll feel good about putting everywhere. It’s easily 5–10x harder to get right. But it’s treated like the cheap add-on with a lot of SMB owners. And to be clear, I’m not saying new businesses should go drop thousands on a logo right away. This is more about the resistance at every level. Even established businesses hesitate here. Always found that backwards.

These takes are so bad. You do realize we have sport specific donors? Some have deep connections while others just enjoy that sport. In the new landscape it is critical coaches secure these donors. Something Coach Gundy seemed to not be great at but Hoyt and Lutz are doing well. Now just need it to translate to the court.
