The me of 2006 would be shocked at the me of 2026. I miss the more innocent me but the toxic political movements seeped into every business I founded to the point that the ones I didn’t have direct control of would routinely choose to lose money to pursue left wing social agendas. And even the ones I did control it were a constant struggle to keep from being overrun by toxic employees looking to turn the company into a glorified daycare for adult babies.

@BCityEnjoyer @magi_jay 100% my first thought "Guy looks like he's been outside in the wind." Thought the interview was pitch perfect (the first 20 min I saw, at least). To each their own, I suppose.

@magi_jay He's a little red and say "dude" and you accuse him of drinking mouthwash? My god that is crazy. The dude lives an outdoorsy life and has the skin tone of a marshmellow. Have you never been outside before?

I mean I don't really care that much, but Graham Platner is totally intoxicated in this video and that's either alcohol or mouthwash in that coffee mug. Again, I honestly don't care. I'm just tired of everyone else fluffing this dude for literally no reason beyond his aesthetic.

@draginol This has been one of the most exciting transformations - AI turning my phone from being 90% consumption to 90% production.

@griswold One game dev story that always stuck: a history teacher was teaching a series on catapults and trebuchets. There was a gulf in outcomes between students that only consumed written material and those who also played historical strategy games. Agency + strategy = deep understanding

@3DxDEV7 For sure - this stuff gives big “Uncanny Valley” vibes. It looks ok in stills, but the moment there’s too much movement, things feel off.

The soul of animation is in the intent and the 'mistakes' that make it human. ✍️✨ AI can mimic patterns, but it can't replicate the passion of a dedicated animator.

What we're really seeing on display down in Texas is just how wide the Overton window has gotten. And I think the reality on the left should be quite sobering for the "at least the Democrats aren't as crazy as MAGA" idea out there. Because, sure, the Republican Party has a problem with radicals and with people feeling the need to cosplay as radical to get elected...but none of these radicals on the right are embracing radicalism while claiming their moderate or centrist. And that's what we have happening on the left over and over and over again. Talarico is being portrayed as a reasonable, moderate, electable Democrat in ruby red Texas...as a demonstration of what center-left looks like. And yet...he's out there pushing radical ideas, communicating radical conceptions of society, of government, of Christianity. He is not center-left. But because he's more or less in the "center" of a radicalized party, he's portrayed as center-left and presented as center-left. But he's not. He's a radical. This is why I reject this idea that that the civic dysfunction, the radicalism, the political decay...that any or all of the problems we currently face in society predominantly exist only in one political party or one segment of the population and that defeating that party, silencing that segment, that winning any number of elections is the solution to the problems of our day. We don't have just a Republican problem, we don't have just a Democrat problem, we don't have just a right-wing or a left-wing problem. We have serious societal problems, and those problems are shot through just about every institution, every segment of society, every piece of the country. And embracing any idea anywhere in the realm of "we can fix things after beating so and so" is not only a form of self-deception but one that ultimately furthers along the problems we face.

I wrote a short piece on the division of roles between human brains and AI. LLMs are excellent external workers, but for the unconscious, high-speed cycle of shaping ideas, they are too slow. Here is why you can't outsource your intuition to AI: data-processing.club/intuition/

We now have access to powerful and complex tools at no cost, it can be overwhelming. Sometimes the best way to spark creativity is to add contrains. Try restricting your color palette, or work with just cubes, or even try a more limited tool. Boundaries can push you!

@nicksterwixter also Marx is just as much a part of the "Western Tradition" as Dante or the Beatles (he drew heavily from Kant, Hegel, and he influenced many Catholic thinkers such as Dorothy Day and Alasdair Macintyre). I can't think of any good reason for Barron to call Marx "not Western"

When people ask me why I mostly vote Republican now, this really is the heart of it. It's so clear that the modern Democratic Party is controlled by people who have a fundamental disdain for the foundational ideals and culture of not just America but the entire western world--and they're increasingly vocal about it. It's something that even the most uneducated people in this country can sense about the way that modern Democrats talk. They might not be able to articulate it through a philosophical lens in the same way that Bishop Barron does in this video. But when they say "they hate America" in reference to the Dems, they know what they're talking about. If you ask me to pick between a narcissist blowhard and a Marxist, I'm taking the narcissist blowhard every single time.
Bishop Robert Barron@BishopBarron

A recent statement by Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez illuminates the Marxist ideology which continues to take hold of American politicians. Here are my thoughts.

Screenshot of our new AI app that uses Codex Cli, Claude Code, Gemini Cli, Copilot Cli as AI staff for your projects. In this screenshot, Codex is able to recruit its own staff who in turn can also recruit their own staff. This similar to the Claude Code Agent Teams except you can go in and actually see what they're up to. Our app doesn't try to "genericize" each CLI provider. Instead, we do our best to highlight the strengths of each one. So for instance, the cool stuff being added to Claude Code gets made available via UI to manage them more easily (like plugin store and such).
