@Carvana The vehicle’s CARFAX came back pretty clean, but how does a pre-sale 150-multi-point inspection not encounter what we did today? Cost my family time, $$, and a whole lot of peace-of-mind about this purchase, as we start Day 1 of the 7-Day trial period.

Keep in mind—we took possession of the vehicle @ 3 PM today. All of the @Carvana roadside assistance (thru Silver Rock) were gone for the weekend, so we were SOL there. Couldn’t get a tow truck thanks to being in the geocentric Bermuda Triangle of Austin, Houston, & San Antonio.

This would be an utterly pathetic move by the new leadership. The team at @undeadlabs released a Showcase trailer, dropped an awesome 40-minute deep-dive video, and have recently started closed alphas. I’ve even had a friend visit their studio to see their excitement firsthand. Surely Xbox won’t do something this stupid.

@Bloop33 When you don’t have many assets to deal, you need to be smart in how you manage them—that’s one thing I think Sakic is better at than CMac. Trade Val before value declines / another incident, get 2 ex-1RP guys signed thru next year…they could be something, it’s worth a shot.

And who knows, maybe someone breaks out the way Val or Newy did and actually helps. Avs had the oldest team, zero assets and almost no internal prospects. If just 1 or 2 of these guys help you, its a win.

If you take a step back, and look at what Sakic is doing, it's very familiar to when they added Burakovsky, Val, Donskoi, Graves, etc as well as Newy and Ranta, in the lead up to the '22 win. Avs currently don't have the assets to get guys quite at that level, but they have ...
