Just watching the world slowly collapse and wondering why it had to be this way. I apologize in advance for typos.

"I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you actually left them."

Crowd is still filling in but so far looking like more of a pro-Canada crowd here at Santagiulia Arena. Team USA was greeted for warmups by loud boos.

I’m immensely disappointed by the Alberta Teachers’ Association's decision to withdraw Paul Brandt as one of their keynote speakers at the North Central Teachers convention this past week. Not only is Paul Brandt one of Canada’s greatest musicians, but his organization “Not in My City” has been leading the fight against sex trafficking for years— especially when it comes to endangering our children. Standing up for the victims of sex trafficking is most certainly a non-partisan cause. While the ATA searches for some sort of explanation as to why they cancelled his recent appearance to engage with teachers, I'd encourage all Albertans to learn more about the important work that Paul does by visiting his website: notinmycity.ca

Danielle Smith says she will not "demonize" 1,000,000 Albertans who want separation. But one independence leader (who admits he went to Washington) says Smith would not be premier, were it not for her "courting" separatist votes. #ableg #cdnpoli

Please see my statement regarding the results of the recall petition. #CalgaryBow #Alberta

I am deeply disappointed by what is heard in this recording. Teachers have a duty to remain professional and politically neutral in the classroom. Students are there to learn math, language, science and critical thinking based on the approved curriculum, not to be subjected to profanity, partisan attacks, or insults toward Alberta’s ethical energy workers and their families. Our classrooms must be places of respect where every student, and every family, feels welcome regardless of their political views or where they work.
