Boomer here. I bought my first house after ten years of saving like crazy. And the interest was 14.5%. I don’t know where kids got the idea that they were due a house and new car at college graduation, but that’s NOT how it ever was.

Noteworthy - Like every major Liberal project - from dental care to TMX (4-6x over budget) to Phoenix Pay System (15x over budget)- supporters never mention the cost or how it's going to be paid for. But somehow they're surprised that others are worried about the cost.
PS I get the impression that it doesn't matter if the forecast cost is $90B or $120B or $200B partisans would still support the project. Just like they show no sign of caring that the federal deficit forecast for 2025-26 is 62% higher than the Liberals forecast just a year ago.
I find it "bizarre" that so many people don't care about costs.
