Péter Magyar, the new Hungarian prime minister, says CPAC was paid by the Hungarian government and will not be any longer

Yes. Nothing is certain, but these midterms are set up to be extraordinary. -There is a nationwide pattern of data--from AK to WI to GA--suggesting not just a blue electorate, but also significant voter persuasion. -GOP policy has always been unpopular. What new policies could they possibly advance to turn this around? -I doubt there's much culture-war-wise for them to mine either. That's the problem w/ over-playing that hand. Issues begin to lose salience, particularly in the presence of economic pain -Costs are gonna get worse and there are, unfortunately for all of us, there are recession indicators. Midterms may plausibly be more akin to 2008 Obama than 2018 Democratic House sweep. Not exactly the "same," because the comparison is a bit apples/oranges & the Senate is tricky, but there could plausibly be a similar shock effect as in "How in the world did we win THAT seat?" 2018 was more targeted to specific realignments. I don't recall 2006 well enough; perhaps that's a better comparison. Let me know. I think of 2008 b/c that's the year when the bottom fell out. What we're seeing now looks like the bottom falling out. Here's one hint about all this: The Driftless region in Wisconsin was 7 points MORE BLUE for the WI Supreme Court race than Obama 2008. Democrats have to stay the course they're on: concrete issues on the state/local level + affordability. Anti-Trump where applicable/wise. Take hints from Shawn Harris in GA, Mary Peltola in AK, Robert Sand in Iowa, & many others. All these folks are campaigning as THEMSELVES to communities they understand. Ignore online chatter and the podcasters. We shouldn't rest on our laurels, but it's looking to be a historic year. And I think LESS interfering on the national level--whether its from the consultant class or the twitter commentariat--HELPS Democrats.

Ian Bassin argues that the defeat of Orban is “further evidence of something that we have now known for some time, which is that the formula for dislodging these autocrats is to form an incredibly broad coalition that is uncomfortable for people within it.” (From today's 'To the Contrary" podcast)

Which socialists came in to “save” messed up economies, Mr Mayor? Allende in Chile? Palme in Sweden? Chavez in Ven? Fidel in Cuba? Socialists have led to staggering inflation and economic collapse at best, and repression and militant confiscation at worst. gbnews.com/politics/us/zo…

I love the President and I'm so grateful he's in the Oval Office. Of course, I'll continue to support him and the America First agenda. At the end of the day, I do nothing for the approval of man. Our purpose on this earth is to glorify Him in all we do. The truth social post missed the mark. It's now deleted. Amazing! We're imperfect people. I know I am. I don't get my feelings hurt easy and I know with the President it's really not personal. I want to spend eternity in a real place called Heaven. I'd love for Trump to be there too. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. I'll keep doing my part by speaking truth & doing my best to lead others to Christ. (and no, I won't be selling merch with his insults on them hahaha)

Trump fires back at Meloni: “I’m shocked by her. I thought she was brave, but I was wrong” “She is no longer the same person, and Italy will not be the same country”, Trump added.

The thing where he complains about the moderate wing of the party consolidating its vote in the 2020 primary is appallingly stupid. The argument is more or less that Bernie should've been able to get the nomination with 30% of the vote.

Young voters, except men ages 18-22, swing towards Democrats

Ashley St. Clair was so deep in the right wing media apparatus that she had a baby by Elon, but since they threw her under the bus she’s been spilling all their secrets and it’s very entertaining
