A lot of Canadians still believe Canada can be fixed. In this conversation with @MickellyCarlone, I tried to push back on my own position and ask the obvious question: if Canada used to be better, why can’t we just go back and fix what went wrong? But the more we talked, the harder that argument became. Taxes are not getting lower. Food is not getting cheaper. Housing is not getting easier. Homelessness and addiction have exploded in places that used to feel stable. People are working harder, saving less, and watching their quality of life disappear. And when people speak up about it, they are increasingly mocked, censored, attacked, or told to be quiet. That is the deeper issue. This is not just about bad policy. This is about a country where free speech is being narrowed, government-funded media shapes the narrative, social media voices get shut down, and too many people shrug because “it doesn’t affect me.” THIS MOVEMENT IS ABOUT DEFENDING THE RIGHTS OF EVERYONE, NOT JUST PEOPLE WE AGREE WITH! That is why Alberta independence matters. We need a future where free speech is protected, property rights are real, government power is limited, and Albertans are not forced to keep begging Ottawa for permission to live differently. It is not so much that Canada is broken. It is more like the system is working exactly the way it was designed. Full video here: youtu.be/_iRoqUGRZhc

The whole thing is ridiculous... apparently we're not just being infiltrated by China, we've also been infiltrated by the UN. I'm starting to wonder if the Illuminati is next in line for infiltration of this mindless sheep known as Canada.

Mark Carney reacts to Alberta independence advocates submitting over 300,000 petition signatures calling for a province-wide referendum on independence. The prime minister shuts down the idea, citing the "rule of law" and an ongoing judicial challenge from First Nations groups.

CANADA you are owned by the King of England. Canada is NOT a sovern nation. In 2022, the house of Commons rejected a motion to cut ties with the monarch 266-44 ... all MPs voted. UniParty. They work against all of us. Federalists are a plague to our people. Its time for Provoncial Separation from the Crown.

You are uninformed. There are at least 3 mechanisms in action here. The first is that X complies to the laws of the countries X operates in, within that jurisdiction. Content can fall into X's 'Country Withheld Content' policy, specific for Canada. This is outright removal but can also trigger soft-throttle, search hide, shadow-ban, etc. The removed content is expected to be content that would likely fail a legal challenge, I assume. But, not the subsequent post-removal throttling. However, content that would likely fail a Canadian legal challenge is not the same as content that would fail an American legal challenge. I err on the side of choosing to see more, knowing that I'll see far more valid and restricted than invalid and restricted content. The second is that Canada has a lot of NPCs, both individual and institutional, in ratio compared to the US. The set of anti-establishment voices (examples of Alberta separatist, anti-Trudeau, Poilievre-supporting) would be targeted by hate complaints, which would trigger throttling in jurisdiction. That is, throttled in Canada but not the US. The third is that the US watches Canadian accounts, and they are much more likely to engage with these accounts than the Canadians would. Again, by dint of Canada being filled with NPCs. So, in the US, these same accounts have far more elevation that they would have in Canada, even if nothing else was impacting them. There you go. Now you have more of the practical situation explained to you. I hope you understand this and are able to accept structured knowledge. I am also aware that you're not likely to read this sentence, as lots of words probably confuses you.

The Justine Department says they have reviewed over 3 million documents on the Big 4 Meat Packers in America They have found anti-trust practices. The Big 4 have been working together, sharing information and skyrocketing prices “This week, we will be announcing an historic settlement that will directly affect the prices of proteins like chicken, pork, and Turkey” “This business model allows competitors to exchange competitively sensitive information on every aspect of the protein industry and has raised the prices on chicken raised, the prices on pork, and raised the prices on Turkey. The department is also working closely with, with Secretary Rawlins and the Department of Agriculture” They’re also looking for more evidence “I wanna remind everyone and anyone in the industry that if you have information about antitrust crimes, about price fixing, bid rigging, market allocation, or even procurement fraud, the Department of Justice wants to hear from you through our Whistleblower Rewards program” California is run by monopolies. This is why everything keeps getting more and more expensive. Bring back the small farmers

You need to define what "European" means here. Is this Europe as it is today, with dissolving societal cohesion due to immigration, or the Europe as it was 50 years ago, with strong national cohesion? Is this the Europe as it is today, with a gutted economy and energy production, or as a booming Europe, which it was a multiple points in the last 50 years? Let's call these two circumstances by "failed Europe" and "historical Europe". Is Canada the most like "failed Europe" of "non-failed European states"? 100% true. Is Canada the most like "historical Europe" of "non-historical European states"? 100% false. Argentina might be. Or Uruguay. Which culture do you want to merge in? The 'failed Europe' one or the 'historical Europe' one? The economic one will be answered when the cultural one is.

It's a fair point that Canada is the most European of non-European states. But Canada is also the most American of non-American states. We have the unique advantage of having strong links to both Europe and the US, while remaining independent of both. We could wisely merge Europe's culture with America's dynamic economy. Instead, our leaders do the opposite - American culture with European economy.

The Alberta Independence petitions are now in the hands of Elections Alberta. A lot of people are asking what happens next. Because of the temporary court stay, the signatures currently sit sealed while the court decides whether the counting process can proceed. And that court process matters. For many Albertans, this is exactly the problem. A Liberal-appointed judge now has the power to delay or block a democratic process supported by over 300,000 Albertans. This is exactly why the independence movement exists: Albertans are tired of having their future decided by people and institutions that do not share their values. If cleared, Elections Alberta can verify the signatures and the question can move toward the October 19 referendum: “Do you agree that the Province of Alberta shall cease to be part of Canada and become an independent state?” But if the court blocks the process, the democratic demand does not disappear. The pressure shifts directly back to Premier Danielle Smith. The Premier can call a referendum at any time. And with 301,620 Albertans signing the petition, the clear democratic will of the people has already been demonstrated. Politically, she also has to face reality inside her own party. The majority of the UCP base supports Alberta independence. If the court blocks the petition and the Premier refuses to act, she risks tearing apart the very coalition that keeps the UCP together. Either Albertans are allowed to vote through this process, or the Premier must call the referendum herself. The independence movement is not going away. One way or another, Alberta is heading toward a referendum.

Hospitals are regularly violating informed consent on newborns. Parents are handing over written notices refusing vaccines, eye ointment, blood tests, and other routine procedures… and hospitals are doing it anyway. This needs to stop. Default hospital protocols should not override parental rights. Delayed cord clamping should also be the standard so babies get their full blood volume and stem cells from the placenta. @SecHumECW @ABDanielleSmith There are no "pox-ridden" NDP cities in Alberta. Edmonton has a few ridings. Calgary has none. You keep playing the cons vs libs to your heart's delight! Alberta has been con for decades except for the blip when they fell asleep. Not likely to be repeated soon. Cons wrecked AB.

Alberta’s youth unemployment rate is too high. With a steep increase of temporary workers in recent years, young Albertans are too often being overlooked for entry-level jobs. I was grateful to meet a few of these hardworking young Albertans at Home Hardware in Cardston recently. In response, Alberta's UCP government launched the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive to help youth enter the workforce. This program will enable approximately 3,500 businesses hire up to 8,750 youth in Alberta. Learn more: alberta.ca/alberta-youth-…

I'm sorry this is the case. The 'boy crisis' has been recognized for over 60 years now, and parents haven't understood and accepted this. Western countries and Canada has faced a constant stream of progressivism, and Carney is the current face of this. Without religiosity, there's very little shield against this moral and ethical decay in society. It's interesting that the NPCs are coming out with 'blame the parents'. A pat answer that sparks anger and a defensive response. It's a tactic for the NPCs for people to tilt at and burn their energy. Ignore it.

The general moral and ethical decay of Canada would do this. Conservative parents were unaware of it, and liberal parents contributed to it. Of course, a truly conservative province like Alberta or Saskatchewan would have more parents who are conservative than are liberal. That is, except for the pox-ridden, I mean NDP-ridden cities. A mixed bag, I guess. Regardless, youth need jobs now.
