An overcrowded Emergency Department is a overcrowded hospital that chooses to put all the risk on a team who is already sinking. How many good ED nurses / Doctors and allied professionals are we to loose before it changes and risk is shared.

@drbenwhite I didn’t even kiss my 2 year old twins during the first wave. I was so scared, we knew so little. I will always remember meeting with my mum again when we were allowed and she kissed them when I hadn’t in weeks. I don’t think i will ever forget that.

Absolutely nobody I knew in the NHS had routine gatherings or drinks after work during covid restrictions. We left exhausted, stripped, showered, terrified we might pass something on, ate, stayed in and slept. Day off meant a solo walk in the park. Rinse & repeat

So after 11 long years in A&E I am moving on to pastures new. I’m sad to be going but so very excited to be joining a new team, learning new skills and growing professionally ❤️

Our Band 2 Colleagues currently earn £9.49 an hour. In April the Minimum Wage goes up to £9.50 and we know our next pay award (due in Apr) will be delayed AGAIN. So in April our hardworking band 2 NHS workers will be earning below min wage! RT if you agree this is a DISGRACE
