In continuation of regular coordination with representatives of airline companies in Kuwait in view of the prevailing security situation in Kuwait and the region, Ambassador @ParamitaTrpathi held a virtual interaction today with representatives of Indian air carriers operating in Kuwait. The Ambassador reviewed the current operational status of Indian air carriers in the region to support Indian nationals from Kuwait requiring emergency travel to India via Saudi Arabia. Update/Advisory, 1730 hrs, March 14, 2026 • Qatar Airways operated two flights to India today, one each to New Delhi and Mumbai. In total, about 850 Indian nationals travelled out of Qatar on these and other flights today. Qatar Airways has announced one flight to India on March 15 (to New Delhi) and three flights on March 16 (to New Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi). • The option of travelling out of Qatar to Saudi Arabia is also available. Indian carriers have also increased their flights from Saudi Arabia to India. We have issued another Advisory today explaining the process for travelling through Saudi Arabia. • Embassy of India, Doha continues to operate its three 24x7 helplines, whose numbers are +97455647502, +97455384683 and +97455362508. Queries can also be addressed to email cons.doha@mea.gov.in . • There are two links available for registering with the Embassy for passengers on transit or short-term visas for Qatar who wish to travel to India. These are as follows. (i) Indian Tourists/ Short Term Visitors requiring temporary Transit visa for Saudi Arabia: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAI… (ii) Indian Tourists/ Short Term Visitors holding Hayya A1 Visa for travelling to Qatar: indianembassyqatar.gov.in/hayya_visitors • Please continue to follow all guidelines issued by Qatar's Ministry of Interior and other authorities. In one of its advisories earlier today, Ministry of Interior clarified that temporary precautionary evacuation measures previously announced applied only to residents in the specific areas who received notifications through the national alert system. It also said that if such individuals required assistance or had queries, it could be addressed on telephone number 4044-2999. ****

Update/Advisory, March 15, 2026, 1715 hrs · Qatar Airways operated one flight to India (to New Delhi) today. Three flights are planned by the airline to India on March 16 as well as on March 17. These flights will be to New Delhi, Mumbai and Kochi. · As per Advisory issued by Qatar Airways, to book these flights and for the latest flight updates passengers can visit the Qatar Airways website or App, or contact a travel agent. Qatar Airways has also asked passengers not to arrive at departure airport unless they hold a valid, confirmed ticket for travel. · Embassy of India continues to coordinate with local authorities and Qatar Airways for facilitation of travel of stranded Indian nationals and emergency cases. · Embassy of India also continues facilitation of travel of Indian nationals through Salwa border to Saudi Arabia on temporary transit visas of 96 hrs validity. · Some Indian nationals stranded (on transit or short-term visitors) in Qatar due to the current situation may have specific needs for essential medicines. They can approach the helpline (00974-70462114) of Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) if they need assistance. Embassy and ICBF will try and help such cases, if feasible.

Ms. Sripriya Ranganathan @SecretaryCPVOIA convened a virtual meeting today with the Chief Secretaries of all States/UTs to discuss the evolving situation in West Asia and the Gulf region. 💠 Highlighted the key points from the suo moto Statement in Parliament today by EAM @DrSJaishankar 💠 Provided updates on the efforts being undertaken by Indian Embassies and Consulates to ensure the safety and welfare of Indian nationals in the region; and requested for the assistance of States/UTs in the dissemination of updated information and Advisories being issued regularly by Indian Embassies and Consulates. 💠 Outlined the steps being taken by Ministry of Civil Aviation, in close coordination with Indian Embassies and Consulates, to facilitate the return to India of stranded Indian passengers and those on short-term visits in the region, which had enabled the safe return of over 67,000 Indians since the start of the conflict on 28 February 2026. 💠 Responded to the requests and specific points raised by many Chief Secretaries, and took note of their further suggestions. 💠 Discussed steps to further strengthen the coordination with States/UTs through MEA’s Special Control Room, as well as through RPOs and MEA Branch Secretariats in India.
