Richmond = Vallejo.
Fairfield = Antioch.
Suisun City = Pittsburg.
Oakland aesthetic + Marin Culture = Berkeley.
El Cerrito, San Pablo and El Sobrante don’t exist. Those are all parts of Richmond.
Emeryville also doesn’t exist. It’s just where Oakland and Berkeley go to Target and IKEA.
Daly City is a neighborhood in San Francisco.
San Jose is the worst parts of modern San Francisco culture combined with the worst parts of Los Angeles Suburban sprawl.
Pinole, Hercules and Rodeo are all different neighborhoods in one city.
Crockett, Port Costa and downtown Martinez are also the same city.

@garrytan Bay Area schools stopped teaching algebra for 12 years. Grade inflation, "discovery-based" learning, "self-esteem;" all of it revealed during the lockdowns, which teachers lobbied to continue indefinitely because they didn't want to work.
Maybe that's why.

Also schools will start to close and lower the property values of the homes around it. Maybe then they’ll take it seriously since they seem to lack empathy and only act when it hurts THEM specifically.

@GaTechAlum_IE92 The collapse is actually measurable and already underway, it's not a theory. Student enrollment is down ~ 15% since 2018 as Marin becomes one of the oldest counties in the United States.

The collapse of wealthy suburban Californians' coveted school districts is going to hit Marin County first and hardest but every one of them is still in deep denial because Marin's politics (like many California suburbs) are still geriatric NIMBY cosplaying sustainability maven.

I don’t think people have fully absorbed just how big the declines in student enrollment are going to be. Eight states are projected to experience DOUBLE DIGIT declines by 2031.

@johnbreech Nope. A fair catch means fair catch. Unless he muffs it and the ball hits the ground, the defender needs to let him complete the act of making the catch no matter how many times he bobbles/juggles it.
