@Schuldensuehner Only one question left: from where should that evil gas be sourced? But I'm sure that's a small one 🤣🤡

Good Morning from Germany, which is weighing a strategic natural gas reserve to protect supplies in a worst-case crisis. The proposed emergency reserve would total ~24TWh, equal to ~10% of the country’s gas storage capacity. In the event of a complete import cutoff, it could keep households and businesses supplied for roughly 2 weeks in a normal winter, or 1 week in an icy one. The one-off cost is estimated at €500mln to €1.5bn. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

Trump has just lost a war to Iran. I would liken it to the Suez débâcle except that, at Suez, Britain successfully swept Egyptian resistance aside. We were defeated by Eisenhower’s hostility, not Nasser’s tanks. This time, the US just flat out lost - and the world is vastly worse off for it.

If a strike happens on Bushehr in two days, and releases radionucleides, the prevailing wind patterns would mostly disperse them across the Iranian coastline, with a slightly higher risk for Kuwait and Iraq.

I’m tired boss, the U.S. is literally kicking the shit out of a nation with a modern military right now. Ukraine didn’t stop because “Westerns aren’t modern enough” they stopped sending them because Ukraine has a hybrid Soviet-DroneSlav way of war that isn’t compatible with NATO doctrine. NATO blasphemy needs to stop.
Roy🇨🇦@GrandpaRoy2

Ukraine will stop sending soldiers abroad for training and plans to conduct all military personnel training exclusively on Ukrainian territory. This decision is attributed to the fact that instructors from Western countries lack modern combat experience.

"WHAT'S THE PLAN? WHAT'S THE PLAN?" The plan is, obviously, to completely annihilate their ability to control the strait, which is happening right now, and you're too retarded to accept it.

U.S. forces are degrading the Iranian regime's ability to project power at sea and harass international shipping. For years, Iranian forces have threatened freedom of navigation in waters essential to American, regional and global security and prosperity.

If mine storage sites somehow survive, mine-laying ships will be taken out by hellfire missiles, guided rockets or maybe drone interceptors. So mining the Strait now is probably a bit too late.

Game theory on the strait is so interesting. Theory: the Leeroy Pushpak got through, revealing it was a partial bluff. Someone thought to kill transponders. Zerg rush. If they blow up a civilian vessel blowback seems worse for them. Lordy

If I'm reading this correctly, a lot of the oil scare happened because morons who don't know what they're looking at thought the absence of transponder pings in the Strait of Hormuz meant no ships were going through.

Time to exit US operations out of Rota and Morón. We have allies we can depend on to base from in the region
DefenceGeek 🇬🇧@DefenceGeek

USAF tankers continue to leave Spain, despite contrary reports earlier today #FreeIran --- Operation EPIC FURY --- As I first reported a couple of days ago, Spain's disagreement with the US over the current conflict in Iran led to a mass-move of US Air Force tanker aircraft from Spain's Moron Airbase (LEMO) and Rota Naval Air Station (LERT). In the first 8hrs after I announced this, around half of the 20+ tankers at the two bases moved to Ramstein Airbase (ETAR) in Germany, or another location in France. Tonight, despite earlier reports by several outlets that the Spanish government had relented (swiftly followed by Spanish denials of the claims), at least one more tanker has departed Spain heading towards Ramstein. KC-135R "?" 63-8045 #AE0154 The decision by Spain to tell the US the aircraft could not operate at the bases and should leave has caused fury in the White House, and raised further concerns over the future stability of the NATO alliance. @MATA_osint

Americans definitely don't depend as much on us as we depend on them. We can make it harder for them to bomb the Middle East, but without their protection some European countries could literally cease to exist
Alberto Alemanno 🇪🇺@alemannoEU

The Iran war has revealed something Europeans had forgotten: the US depends on Europe as much as Europe depends on the US. In denying the Pentagon use of its bases, Spanish PM @sanchezcastejon revealed a strategic leverage Europe never thought to use A coordinated EU stance on military base would be a game changer What are you waiting for EU ‘leaders’ in #EUCO?

Two things: 1) Dan Caine is a huge upgrade as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. 2) You don't need to worry as much about running through interceptors when you can just destroy the enemy's ability to launch projectiles.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47

Gen. Dan Caine: "As of this morning, @CENTCOM is making steady progress. Iran's theater ballistic missile shots fired are down 86% from the first day of fighting, with a 23% decrease just in the last 24 hours. Their one-way attack drone shots are down 73% from the opening days."

The rate at which Iran launches missiles is declining, in a fashion similar to that of nuclear isotope decaying. With a half life of about 1.1 days. A similar phenomenon was observed in the 12 day war, but I think with a slightly longer half-life. Hopefully this will reassure those worrying about gulf states running out of patriot interception missions. Note, this does not include drones, but drones don’t need patriotic and other intercepted missiles to take them down,
