FYI India uses trade deals to get immigration concessions for skilled professionals, temporary workers, and students as a means of dispelling their excess population. The last thing Canada needs is a closer relationship with India.
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

We’re negotiating a free trade deal with India. This will be a game changer for Canadian workers and businesses — unlocking a massive new market. We’re working fast — I met Minister @PiyushGoyal to review our progress so far and explore the opportunities ahead for both our countries in energy, agri-food, tech, and education.

Alberta Federation of Labour
🚨 BREAKING: Albertans are set to take to the streets THIS FRIDAY in what could be the largest organized protest in the province's history. From every corner of Alberta, people are taking to the streets to protest everything from the cost of living and healthcare cuts to AI data centres and the promotion of separation. This isn't a protest for one issue. It's everything at once, because it's all connected.

@brianlilley Notice the back drop. Probably the first time in the last 10 years any of our politicians have delivred a similar conference without it looking like the UN in the background. Very telling.

@PierrePoilievre So, you are waisting your time, and the attention span of the electorate, on a meaningless symbolic vote? You are so bad at this.

Intelligence sources say Cuba has lined up 300 attack drones within range of US soil. The US is now wide open to a drone strike, so Trump is about to fund defense companies that can build the protection against it. 8 stocks I believe positioned to win those contracts:🧵

@ctkulp @joe_warmington 1. The list keeps shrinking. No new sales of hanguns or AR's for the last 6 years. 2. AR's permanently in safe until October destruction. Handguns only to range and back. No exceptions. 3. LOL 4. Smuggled from US.

With MP @SukhmanGillASL and North Vancouver—Capilano Conservative candidate @specurran to recognize how the Persian community, here in Greater Vancouver and across Canada, has brought strength, courage, and an enterprising spirit to our country. They deserve a government that stands with them against IRGC terrorists, deports foreign criminals, and supports their fight to live in freedom and peace.

For my American followers what’s happening in Canadian real estate market is absolutely wild. Federal government policy opened the flood gates with 11 million (permanent immigrants, temporary residents, refugees, international students, and temporary workers) or equivalent to 32% of the total population in just over a decade. This is having all kinds of implications.

The Middle East is where US Presidents go to end their term and their party’s term. Strange how they never learn. 🤷 • Carter: Camp David win, but Iran hostage crisis sank his re-election. • Bush 43: Iraq invasion & endless occupation fueled war fatigue and GOP losses. • Obama: Libya intervention, red-line Syria failure, ISIS rise after Iraq pullout. • Biden: Chaotic Afghanistan withdrawal & Israel-Hamas fallout damaged Democrats. Even so called “successes” (Gulf War, Abraham Accords) rarely save the party at home. The region chews up political capital faster than any other.

A third world country has a palace. Canada had a mould/asbestos infested house that we’re afraid to demolish. We spent nearly $5 million getting rid of it instead of tearing it down. It’s time to ignore sunk costs. 24 Sussex is an embarrassment. This should not be a political issue. And I would never attack the Liberals for tearing it down & building something we can be proud of. For under $20 million, I could build an award-winning, 25,000 sq ft palace with the most incredible finishes ever seen. The state of Sussex is a perfect representation of the state of Canada: Feelings over decisive action. Being politically correct over common sense. Wasteful spending to get nowhere, fast. To see us send billions overseas instead of building at home is exactly why we are, where we are.
