“Karen” is a racial slur. If I derisively referred to random black women I find annoying as “Shaniqua” or whatever everyone would consider it racist. The Karen slur is used to dismiss and degrade white women. That’s the whole point.

I think that before we start calling the Jordan Neely killer, Daniel Penny, a good Samaritan, and attacking Alvin Bragg's office for charging him with manslaughter, we all need to understand a few important things: 1) It is both possible that Penny thought of himself as a good samaritan, while also being guilty of manslaughter. Involuntary manslaughter would be any crime in which a defendant had no intent to kill, but accidentally or inadvertently killed someone as a result of negligent or dangerous behavior. 2) Stop claiming that racism was involved, when there doesn't appear to be any indication of such. Doing so does a disservice to victims of actual racist crimes. 3) Both sides need to let the case play out. Although you may think you know the full story from seeing pictures or videos, there is so much that the public may not know yet. Let's hear your thoughts.
