@altiex @toritoigr there’s still tons of questing between all that where 1 person just sits around, i’ve done it before but it’s exhausting to do more than twice. and clearing out all optional content during expansions VASTLY increases time needed to catch up for only a few good glams and scenes.

@toritoigr you can do a lot more while going through each expansion, there's all the trial series, normal raids, alliance raids, deep dungeons, eureka, bozja and many other things, the game isn't just MSQ dungeons and trials

people will see this and go "but I want to do stuff with my friends who are already at endgame", if your friends aren't playing older stuff with you as you go through the story then you need better friends

people wanting to get into ffxiv by skipping to the newest expac really vindicates the idea that lots of people don’t get into games to experience them anymore, they do it to be part of the conversation and whatever lets them join that conversation the fastest takes priority

@Joezepi @Dragosbeard @spacerunaway_ the main things i’ve heard complaints about are win trading/blatant inting on alts and speed hacks. serial abusers seem to get punished very rarely if ever even with lots of reports and evidence, and the small matchmaking pool in the high CC ranks make cheaters hard to avoid

@EuchreBB @chainedmemory28 if donald is dead or you have no MP, you can stall with aerial dodge and glide spam, and combo master magnet bursts to stun non sorc mobs. rumbling rose is nice at lv1 to get 2 magnet splashes per combo. solo sorcs are most punishable after reflecting the u-shape cube attack. gl!

@EuchreBB @chainedmemory28 my advice here: be willing to burn items because this fight is harder than most of the datas. stitch+magnet+thunder can handle all non sorcerer waves. try to focus down sorcerers immediately with a limit. i found donalds comet + horiz slash works best due to its long length

@KanikouEstellia @ipsusu it’s really not too bad i did it on the free trial, 90% of it is a set and forget daily like checking your retainer. there’s calculators to get your squads to the right stats for the mandatory missions and you only have to run 0-2 dungeons with em yourself, iirc
