4 days after the shooting of Habyarimana's plane by Hutu extremists, his entire family was evacuated to #France. Living comfortably in #Paris no member of that family ever condemned the killings of #Tutsis that was taking place back home. They were ok with their father's plan.

Missile barrages on Israel are disrupting normal life. For a month now, hospital departments are operating in under ground parking lots. This has affected Sheba, Rambam, Wolfson, Ichilov hospitals and Schneider Children's Medical Center. It is hard to transfer seriously ill patients to bomb shelters. The results are dire: 1) In many hospitals, patients are housed in cramped, windowless spaces with poor ventilation, no privacy, and inadequate infrastructure. Staff reported headaches from elevated CO₂ levels, which were only measured after complaints. 2) The open, undivided spaces dramatically increase the spread of airborne diseases. A tuberculosis patient at Sheba Medical Center exposed nearly 2,000 staff and 750 patients — including ~300 newborns. Measles cases were also diagnosed in the underground facilities, including a 17-year-old who later died. 3) Prof. Yasmin Maor criticized the entire concept as "born in sin," arguing the missile threat was known in advance and hospitals should have been properly fortified. Prof. Galia Rahav warned that once hospitals leave the underground facilities, there will likely be a surge in antibiotic-resistant bacterial infections — as was seen after October 7th. 4) Patients and families described humiliating conditions — an 85-year-old woman changed in full view of others, accessibility failures for mobility-impaired patients, and general chaos among overwhelmed staff. Iran has managed to completely disrupt the Israeli health system, something the IDF did not imagine was possible at the start of the war. Israelis are increasingly living in fear.

African Republics Become Dynasties as Longest-Serving Big Men Appoint Sons Vice Regents At 93, #Cameroon’s Paul #Biya, the world’s oldest head of state, has moved to institutionalise his family’s grip on power. After 43 years at the helm, Biya reinstated the office of Vice President, abolished in 1972, and immediately installed his son, Franck Biya (in photo), into the role. To consolidate this succession, the junior Biya was simultaneously named Head of the Armed Forces and Minister Delegate at the Ministry of Defence. This ensures that should the elder Biya (who is increasingly frail and spends much of his time in Europe) vacate the seat, Franck automatically assumes the presidency. Biya appears to be following the blueprint set by Equatorial Guinea’s Teodoro Obiang #Nguema Mbasogo. Having ruled for 46 years now, Obiang appointed his son, #Teodoro "Teodorin" Nguema Obiang Mangue, as Vice President in 2016. Like his Cameroonian counterpart, Teodorin controls national defence and security, serving as the de facto second-in-command. In Uganda, Yoweri #Museveni has maintained his 40-year tenure while elevating his son, Gen. #Muhoozi Kainerugaba, to Chief of Defence Forces. Although Muhoozi lacks a formal civilian title like Vice President, he remains the country's third most powerful figure. Despite contradictory public statements regarding his own presidential ambitions, he continues to lead the Patriotic League of Uganda, a political movement seen as a personal vehicle for his eventual ascent. The pattern repeats in the Republic of #Congo, where Denis Sassou #Nguesso –fresh from a widely discredited election victory after 42 years in power–has embedded his son, Denis-Christel, at the heart of the cabinet as Minister of International Cooperation and Promotion of Public-Private Partnership. A dry run for the top. Similarly, in ##Eritrea’s hermetic regime, Isaias #Afwerki has begun using his son, Abraham, as a diplomatic proxy and strategic advisor, possibly a dress rehearsal for a future handover. Even in nations without a history of long-rule and dynastic tradition, the trend is emerging. #Tanzania’s Samia #Suluhu Hassan, following a brutal and rigged 2025 election, stunned the nation by appointing her son-in-law, Mohamed #Mchengerwa, as Health Minister and her daughter, Wanu Hafidh #Ameir, as Deputy Minister of Education. For a country previously defined by political modesty, Suluhu’s iron-fisted approach signals a departure toward the nepotistic norms seen elsewhere on the continent. This dynastic trend is accelerating likely because aging autocrats view their offspring as the only reliable guarantee against post-incumbency prosecution or the dismantling of their business empires. By blurring the lines between state institutions and family bloodlines, these leaders ensure that the machinery of the military and the treasury remains under a single, trusted roof.

Why is April 6th a Forbidden Date to Commemorate in Kagame's Rwanda? Because on this date, 🩸Kagame ordered the assassination of 2 Democratically Elected Presidents 🩸Violated the Arusha power-sharing Accords 🩸Killed Rwanda Army Chief of Staff Major General Déogratias Nsabimana 🩸On this date, additional prominent Rwandan officials were assassinated in the immediate hours afterward including :Joseph Kavaruganda — President of the Constitutional Court; Frédéric Nzamurambaho — Minister of Agriculture; Lando Ndasingwa — Leader of the Parti Libéral (PL) and his Canadian wife; Boniface Ngulinzira — Chief Arusha peace negotiator and former Foreign Minister. This chaos was all planned by Kagame who realized he would never get power through election and chose eliminating his opponents as means to seize power. It is this chaos that led to Rwanda Genocide. In Rwanda, mourning on April 6 is effectively prohibited / heavily restricted. Could it be that April 6 continues to haunt President Kagame because it serves as a painful reminder of his alleged role in triggering the Rwanda Genocide?

Israeli civilians, families, are being pulled lifeless from the rubble after an Iranian missile struck a residential building. We’ve seen these images before. When it happened in Gaza, it triggered worldwide protests, nonstop coverage, riots, and endless explanations about why this was a clear violation of human rights and why it didn’t matter who started it. Why does that principle disappear when the victims are Jews?

James Mugoya Isabirye is a Ugandan Tycoon Who Built Times Tower, NSSF Building, Kabarak University & Moi High School-Kabarak. He also constructed Mombasa road and had a site at machakos junction. James Mugoya is an engineer and a billionaire businessman. He is the founder and owner of the famous Mugoya Construction & Engineering Limited, behind the construction of some of the most iconic projects in Kenya. Mugoya was one of the most politically-connected contractors in Kenya and bagged several development projects during the reign of late Mzee moi. The iconic Times Towers and the NSSF Embakasi housing projects are some of the notable projects undertaken by the company. Mugoya was born in 1950 in Eastern Uganda. He attended Uganda’s Bulyansime Primary before joining Iganga Boys. He then proceeded to King’s College Budo before later joining the University of Nairobi where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil engineering. He graduated on October 26, 1971 at a ceremony witnessed by President Jomo Kenyatta. He was registered as Abiam JM Isabirye in a class that had 46 students. During his time at UoN, Mugoya is said to have forged a great friendship with one of Mzee Moi’s sons. Immediately after graduation, he founded Mugoya Construction & Engineering Limited and almost immediately, he landed the deals to build the NSSF building and Hazina Estate. In 1992, Mugoya landed a tender to construct the 40-storey Times Tower building which was the tallest at the time. The project was financed by the Central bank of Kenya (CBK) and the state. He also built Moi High School, Kabarak, Kabarak University and the Kisumu Provincial Headquarters. In 1995, NSSF awarded Mugoya a contract to construct 265 houses in Karen, together with an administration block, a club house and a kindergarten. However, the project failed to start due to pending approvals from Nairobi City Council. Mugoya was paid Ksh342 million in 2012 as an out-of-court settlement for the very project after he had initially claimed Ksh633 million. He wanted to buy a small town in Eastern Uganda called Busembatya. He wanted to develop it into a city but Museveni refused. Mugoya was once arrested and charged in Nairobi for defrauding kcb hundreds of millions. Those who indulge in kazi ya mjengo say No construction company pays fundis better like Mugoya.

Uganda played a discreet but documented role in the resurgence of the #M23, facilitating the return of its military leader to the #DRCongo in 2017 and serving as a recruitment pool for the rebellion, according to a report published April 2026 by the Congo Research Group (CRG) and the Center on International Cooperation (CIC) at New York University. #google_vignette" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">actualite.cd/2026/04/05/rdc…

HARUNA SENTONGO. Haruna Sentongo entered business during his O-level vacation when his father gave him UGX 300,000 (about U$84) to start a business to keep him busy during the holidays. He then began selling women’s bags in a small makeshift stall, and that was his launchpad to become who he is today. In 2005, at 18 years old, after accumulating a reasonable amount of savings, Haruna ventured into selling homes and office furniture at Ben Kiwanuka Street in Kampala. In 2007, he started importing garments from countries like China, Thailand, and Malaysia. He would then sell both wholesale and retail to Ugandans, as well as supplying South Sudan, Congo, and Kenya. Haruna experienced outstanding success and with it came growth, and an appetite to take on more risks. He diversified and started buying prime commercial plots of land in different city suburbs around Kampala. In 2011, while still a first-year student at Makerere University, he incorporated Haruna Enterprises U Limited. Through this, he started constructing Haruna Towers in Wandegeya. He started realising more capital inflows and embarked on acquiring more pieces of land to develop properties like shopping malls and arcades. Key Businesses/properties: founder of Haruna Enterprises, owning various malls in Kampala. I hope you feel inspired today.

Women and children are being abused by Rwandan soldiers every day. They claim they are putting defensive measures in place, but their so-called 'defensive measures' seem to be between women's legs. Rwandan soldiers are nothing but perverts and abusers who dehumanize women. How long can the people in eastern DRC continue to live like this? If Rwandan people really believe these women deserve this, then Rwandans are not humans.

This is how much WEAK Iran is. They apparently shot down a low-flying US Fighter Jet on their soil. The two pilots ejected safely. Iran Police, Military and IRGC forces 2KM away couldn't capture the two pilots. America flew its rescue personnels from 1000KM away and successfully rescued both the pilots and carried the wreckage away.
