EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Survivor of the genocide in Rwanda and the bombings of the Goma refugee camps in ’94 – ’96, Christine Coleman speaks. Interview Part 1: #google_vignette" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">congoguardian.com/2025/09/08/exc… Among these actors, and thanks to this dynamic, Congo Guardian, until now the only Congolese newspaper introduced to and following these interactions, has discovered Christine Coleman, a significant personality in the apparatus of this struggle in the United States of America. A survivor of an exile marked by the tragic loss of two of her brothers during the massacres of Rwandan refugees in 1996, Reverend Christine Coleman has lived in the United States since 1997, where she continues her fight for truth and human dignity. President of the Rwandan Movement for Democracy (MRD), this pastor and human rights defender holds vivid memories of the dark hours endured by her community, but also of the unreserved hospitality of the Congolese people who, despite their own suffering, shared their homes, their land, and their bread with the refugees. In a testimony filled with resilience throughout this first part of the interview she granted us, she accuses the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) of being the engine of the violence that has bloodied the Great Lakes region for three decades. And her warning is blunt: as long as this militarized and expansionist system persists, no lasting peace is conceivable. The path to reconciliation, she states, requires justice, unity of the people, and the dismantling of the hegemonic ideology that fuels wars. « AS LONG AS THE RPF SYSTEM REMAINS IN PLACE, THERE WILL NEVER BE LASTING PEACE IN THE GREAT LAKE » Reverend Christine Coleman, would you introduce yourself to our readers and briefly tell your story? Interview Part 1: #google_vignette" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">congoguardian.com/2025/09/08/exc… Interview Part 2: #google_vignette" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">congoguardian.com/2025/09/09/drc…

🙏😭💔🙏🇮🇶🙏🌍 As a result of credible threats from Iranian-backed militias in Nineveh, Iraq, against Christians, local communities have chosen to err on the side of caution and scale back planned Palm Sunday and Easter festivals and events that typically draw tens of thousands each year.

KIDNAPPINGS BY M23/RDF CONTINUE IN BUKAVU & GOMA👇🏽 This the true nature of RDF/M23 whom @TiborPNagyJr supports! They are all about KIDNAPPING, KILLING THE RIGHTEOUS (remember Kizito & millions others), DISAPPEARING CRITICS & FORBIDDING ANY TYPE OF FREEDOM. I am speaking from first hand experience, having lived under their rule from 1990-1997! A CALL TO PRAYER: Your prayers will defeat the he’ll that has invaded the Great Lakes. Pray deeply for USA to have policy makers who know the REAL TRUTH about what Kagame has done & is doing ! Pray and keep praying! GOD IS MIGHTY TO SAVE!
Patrick Bagabo@patrick_bagabo

My mother was kidnapped by M23 in Bukavu today after refusing to abandon our family home—already seized last December after repeated threats. This is not isolated. It is part of a coordinated campaign to silence me, my father, and our family for standing against occupation in eastern DRC. I have informed U.S. officials. I call for urgent international attention, her immediate release, and protection of civilians. Pray for her safety. 🇨🇩 Rwandan Troops Out!

That you got paid to whitewash the US sanctioned criminal regime of Kagame… a regime which is behind the shedding of millions of blood and committing multiple genocides …you were wrong then … you are probably wrong now. But I have prayed for you that you Seek the Truth and “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

In January, I was the loudest voice on X criticizing the Iranian regime. Result? All regime supporters flooded my comments calling me a ‘zionist’ and an ‘Israeli asset’ Now, as I criticize this war (I’ve always been anti-war), some pro Israeli hawks voices are labeling me a ‘regime sympathizer’ The same happened during the Gaza war: I got called both a zionist and an anti semite, and received death threats from both sides Here’s my stance so you don’t have to guess: - Very critical of the Iranian regime. What they did in January was horrific - The current war is a mistake, and if the objective is regime change, then I am very worried about Iran’s future as risks of civil war increase - I am very critical of what Israel did in Gaza and the West Bank, and more nuanced on their attacks on Hezbollah and Iran - I believe Hezbollah should be disarmed - The U.S. objective in this war is control of the Strait of Hormuz, to beat China in the AI race. I’ve always said I want the U.S. to win the AI arms race, as I do not want to live in a world where AI is controlled by an autocracy - As an Australian citizen, I am a believer in our democratic way of life and have always been critical of anyone threatening democracies (EU, Brazil, Pakistan). But this does not mean I support the various interest groups pushing our world into endless wars - As the son of a religious Christian family, I respect all religions, but don’t think religion should ever justify wars Did I miss anything?
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

Why am I against this war? As someone who's been EXTREMELY critical of the Iranian regime, so much so I was labeled 'zio' by many, I've always advocated AGAINST regime change through military means The reason is simple: In over 100 years, there's been ZERO successful regime change operations without boots on the ground And we're seeing this play out right now: The Iranian regime's grip on power has strengthened under bombardment, and they've become even more brutal in suppressing dissent If the U.S. conducted a very limited military operation to give Iranians the chance to bring down the regime, then maybe I would have been supportive (assuming the country does not descend into civil war) But seeing Iran get bombed daily, Israel and the region get attacked, U.S. troops die, and the global economy cater... this is not what I envisaged for 2026. I want the U.S. to win against China I want the regime to fall I want Iran to be a democracy I want Hezbollah's military arm gone I want Lebanon and Iran to normalize with Israel But a prolonged war with Iran is NOT the way to achieve any of these goals

NOT ACCEPTING THAT HIS TIME IS UP...! Kagame wants to remain very much on the international stage especially USA stage... Has intensified anything about hosting USA high-profile in Rwanda; has intensified hosting events in USA through Rwanda Embassy ... not accepting isolating himself despite US sanctions and the pressure coming from everywhere!

Rwanda: The protection over the country is getting thinner and thinner! That is what is happening to the country in the spiritual realm. But back to the earthly realm, this is a real accident that took place inRwanda. It is said that the driver survived it. Such accidents are rampant in Rwanda! Protection is departing!

Von Batten-Montague-York, L.C.
This is Dr. Von Batten. With respect to @TiborPNagyJr, whom I greatly admire, the situation is more complex. The #DRC has consistently denied any relationship with the #FDLR and has committed to neutralizing the FDLR. Framing the issue as if the DRC alone must “deal with” the FDLR oversimplifies the reality on the ground. If the @PaulKagame regime were acting as a genuine partner, it would have worked with President Félix Tshisekedi @Presidence_RDC to address the FDLR threat. That has not occurred. The DRC is a sovereign nation that has faced repeated violations of its territorial integrity, including from @PaulKagame backed #M23 forces. Any durable solution must address both the presence of the #FDLR and #Kagame's support to armed groups operating within DRC territory. Peace will not come from a one-sided framework. It requires mutual accountability, not selective pressure. @realDonaldTrump @HouseForeignGOP @HouseForeign @HASCRepublicans @HASCDemocrats @SenateForeign @SFRCdems @SecRubio @StateDept @AsstSecStateAF @WhiteHouse @AP @AFP @ReutersAfrica @CNNAfrica @BBCAfrica

Oh, we get it... He thinks he is the President of Africa! That's why he invades everywhere. Kagame, with all due respect, your Hemisphere is just Rwanda - a small country of 26,338 square kilometers (about 10,169 square miles). The president of Africa right now is @GeneralNeva!

Is Kagame desperate for attention? AFTER CLOSING THOUSANDS OF CHURCHES, @PaulKagame ROLLS OUT THE RED CARPET FOR AN ELDER OF THE MORMON CHURCH! Appointment Are Open in Urugwiro Village: Is Kagame desparate for International Visitors? After closing 10,000 churches and declaring he will close all churches, today Kagame has received an elder of the mormon church Elder David A. Bednar.

Kagame Using Mozambique’s President Chapo as Back-Channel Advocate to the EU: Reports indicate that many in the European Union no longer have regards for President Paul Kagame especially after the killing of the French Aid Karine Buisset and also Rwanda's destabilization in eastern DRC. Just days after it emerged that the EU’s €20 million funding for the Rwandan Defence Force deployment in Cabo Delgado will expire in May 2026 with no renewal planned, Mozambican President Daniel Chapo met EU High Representative Kaja Kallas in Brussels on 17 March 2026. The timing has sparked speculation that Chapo is quietly urging Brussels to reconsider the cutoff and maintain the Rwandan contingent against the ISIS-linked insurgency — effectively acting as an intermediary for Kigali, whose direct appeals now appear to carry less weight in EU circles.

Starving the Beast: Economic Pressure as a Lever Against Kagame's Regime MORE SANCTIONS PLEASE! The strategy of paralyzing authoritarian regimes by cutting off financial supply chains—through targeted sanctions, aid suspensions, and disruption of illicit networks is the way to erode Kagame's resources sustaining centralized power. @POTUS @amluzayamo
