Being "rate limited" for follow backs, so I'm doing it as I'm able. I have a personal policy of removing followers who have locked accounts and leave my follow back in pending for more than 24 hours so I'll be doing a purge. I believe Twitter is a 2 way conversation.

@Linda4Yah Linda. you sound unhinged. Bias stems from systemic racism. Assumptions are the result and we need to learn to push aside bias so tragedies like this can't happen again. Who is abusing our healthcare? She sought care and didn't get it so she died. Calm down.

Cut the bullshit! It had nothing to do with racism! Who gives a shit that she was native! My guess is that the doctor didn't give a shit about that either! People act entitled and abuse our health care! Sooner or later no one will care if there really is a wolf!

I hope all Canadian healthcare workers are paying attention to the inquest in Niagara. A young indigenous woman died of sepsis after seeking treatment 2 times & being classified as "social issues". Medical racism is real. Listen and learn. cbc.ca/news/canada/ha…

C0VID IS NOT A VACCINE PREVENTABLE DISEASE! Full 🛑! Media needs to warn the public instead of pushing Govt messaging. Vaccines are good, they MAY prevent hospitalization, but not silver bullets. Clean air, masks in HC, Govt messaging that COVID IS AIRBORNE is URGENT!

@LisaPetsinis @maskedmamaB @DrKateTO @Sflecce @fordnation Basically they have not been told to have them so they can’t go in classrooms. She also said the co2 monitor could not be brought to school. She had no idea about proper ventilation as she said she checked with the people in charge of the ventilation and it always is below 5000

In 3 months I've had to have an MRI, emergency abdominal surgery, a 5 day hospital stay, spine xray, a mammogram, and a thyroid scan. Good thing I live in Canada or I'd be begging on GoFundMe. Grateful.

@myfriendtheend Clearly you don't know what a grifter is. There's no money to be made here, just lessons to learn. Biases affect everyone. We need to learn how to overcome biases and treat people better.

@ShanonXray1 I'm sorry this lady died, it was completely unjust. Regardless of the outcomes of the inquest nothing will change. If you haven't noticed things are, statistically, getting worse across the board.

@pot8um When I declined to take my mask off at a doc appt bc I acquired the infection that disabled me at a doc appt where I had to unmask for a scope, the doc rolled his eyes. “You didn’t get Covid in a doctor’s office.” We’re back to the “a gentleman’s hands are never unclean” era.

@EtMar99 Nobody is forcing anything. You're impossible to talk to because you're black and white... absolutes. We can be better than basic. We can use our brains to overcome biases if they are recognized and that's what this inquest is digging into.

@ShanonXray1 Cognitive dissonance is terrible I agree, as are biases and prejudices against groups due to pattern recognition. I'm just stating that you can't force people to go against their own instincts and basic human nature.

@EtMar99 Please don't sweetie me. Intelligence means you can balance two thoughts in your brain.... medicine is recognizing patterns but it's far more than that. Critical thinking would lead one to question their biases and try to over come them. Might have saved her.

@ShanonXray1 Sorry sweetie, but it's human nature. You realize IQ tests are based on your abilities in critical thinking and pattern recognition. You're literally saying that people should be dumber

@EtMar99 Glad you don't work in healthcare. We should always strive to do better. Cops could stand to learn the same lessons. People die when assumptions are made. We need to do better.

@flugelfan101 Do you realize that many folks who end up dependant on drugs seek it out to numb their pain? Do you not have any empathy? How are they not entitled to their life because you think some of their choices were wrong?

@ShanonXray1 Was it medical racism when a white dude died in the exact same circumstances a few weeks ago ? Or did you celebrate it because it was a white man dying and he had privilege or some such nonsense

@EtMar99 This is not ethical. It is what needs to be realized and addressed. Everyone deserves the same chance to be treated, we should not make assumptions.

@ShanonXray1 It's not racism. It's biases and prejudices based on pattern recognition. Imagine being a frontline healthcare person who sees the same groups of people coming in day after day for similar reasons, a lot of them abusing the system. Eventually you develop a bias against them.

For my airborne friends: This was Dec 2021. The young woman declined to take off her mask. How does this make the exam more difficult except for looking in her mouth/throat which they could have negotiated to see if she would remove it.
