They probably have Anthony leading off to get him the most at bats possible…I don’t think a triple A lineup is a serious one many times. Mayer used to hit second. Blake Sabol had the 5 hole as a DH. Was that noteworthy? Grandal was hitting cleanup lol. It’s to get him more at bats.

Quick thoughts on the prospect of trading Duran: 🔺MVP candidate a year ago with 3.5 years of control, price would need to be *sky* high. 🔺Sox offense is already brutal. If you remove its leadoff man and team igniter, I don’t even wanna know what that looks like. 🔺Not opposed to trading Duran (who they’ve shown no interest in extending) in the future, but unless the Sox are squarely dead for 2025 or they have other trades lined up to add serious offense, I’m very out on doing it in-season. 📝Worth noting they’ve had Roman Anthony exclusively leading off.

I don’t blame the guy. He’s their best player. They signed him long term to play 3b. Then they sign Bregman and suddenly he’s out at 3b. He moves to DH and I assume due to Cassas’ injury they now want him to learn a new position in season. It’s not as easy as it sounds. This whole situation has been badly handle by the Sox brass.
