“Spam lateral raises” is actually a horrible way to grow your shoulders.
I tried it for years and years.
While higher reps tend to do well for a lot of shoulder movements, insane volume without adequate control or execution holds a lot of guys back, more than anything.
Get strong on your presses, get good at upright rows, and then pump the shit out of them with a few hard sets of raises.

Initial jump in weight yes, but now rate of gain has stabilized
