🆘🆘 CRYSTAL (ID 251786), 7 YO, FEMALE– IN STATEN ISLAND ACC - came into the shelter as an owner surrender on 5/8/2026, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- landlord won't allow. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 5/16/26 ➡️ SENIOR ALERT ➡️ NEW HOPE PARTNER RESCUE ONLY ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 7 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ CRYTSAL IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - She is currently quick to lunge, swat hiss, and yowl at staff members. These stress related behaviors have made it difficult for staff during cleaning hours and during interactions. She would benefit from placement in a low-traffic, quiet environment with adopters that are willing to slowly work with her. She has two previous bite incidents in her previous home. Medically, she has stage 3 periodontal disease that will need treatment. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace. I am looking for a home with a patient person. ❤️ 😻❤️ 😻❤️ 😻 NEEDS OUT OF SHELTER ASAP – Please RT or pledge, if you can, to save this little one. @AdamsPaulGrimke 💔😿🙏Thank you

Senate Iran War Powers Resolution Fails 49-50 After Fetterman’s Lone Democratic ‘No’ Vote Blocks It

The one major move ABC has made is pretty bold — it has left its No. 1 series, 'High Potential,' off the fall schedule, keeping the hit crime drama starring Kaitlin Olson on the bench for midseason. “I think when we get to the midseason plans, and you think about the opportunities that we have on the ABC schedule, going from New Year’s Rockin’ Eve to the College Football Playoff, the Grammys, the Oscars and obviously the Super Bowl. I think we have such amazing momentum at the start of 27 to bring the show back in a big way,’” Goldman said See more: deadline.com/2026/05/abc-fa…

🆘🆘 SLIPS (ID 2499438), 4 YO, MALE– IN MANHATTAN ACC - came into the shelter as an aco - owner surrender on 3/12/2026, with the surrender reason stated as animal behavior - too active. 🆘🆘 😿 😿 😿 😿 ➡️TBD 5/12/26 ➡️ 🆘🆘 1ST Chance on Emergency Placement List – VERY URGENT – 🆘🆘 😱🔥🔥😱 ➡️ 60 DAYS IN SHELTER – TOO LONG – TIME IS RUNNING OUT ➡️ SLIPS IS ON THE EPL FOR BEHAVIORAL REASONS - He is not thriving in the care center and continues to display distance-increasing behavior when approached for interactions. He has not warmed up despite staff using treats to build a positive association. This designation often means that the cat will be given very little time for rescue/foster/adoption.🔥🔥🔥🔥 A volunteer writes: I spent some time with Mr. Slips today, and now that he's more adjusted to the Care Center, he seems like a totally different cat than his earlier notes state: I found him to be playful, gentle, and a lover of any and all human interaction. This handsome youngster waited patiently for me to approach his kennel, and when I did he greeted me with some hearty meows and an invitation to bat around a feather toy. He took a break to munch some chow, then lay down on his side and rolled around to reveal his belly, a sign of trust. Slips really is a fan of humans, and the perfect new pet parent for him is someone who keeps a pile of toys on hand and gives him one-on-one time. He's the kind of cat who will cheer you up when you're feeling blue, listen to you when you talk about your day, and never turn down the opportunity to just hang and enjoy your company.
