I was all in. Not halfway. Not casually. I defended Trump when it was unpopular, when it was messy, when every headline said he was finished. I took the heat because I thought — genuinely — he was going to expose the rot he kept talking about. That was the whole contract. The whole time he was a pedophile! You don’t spend years telling people the system is corrupt, the elites are protected, the swamp runs deep — and then suddenly get tired when the biggest elite scandal in decades comes up. But that’s exactly what I just watched happen. “We have bigger things to worry about.” That line told me everything I needed to know. Because if exposing corruption was ever the real mission, this was the moment to lean in — not wave it off like it’s an inconvenience. That’s when the fog cleared for me. Same pattern. Same playbook. Same quiet instinct to protect the top of the food chain while the public gets told to calm down and move along. I’m not a Democrat. Never was. I leaned Republican because it matched my values more closely. But at this point the team jerseys look like a joke. Left. Right. Red. Blue. Different branding. Same insulation at the top. They keep everyone emotionally exhausted fighting each other while the people with actual power never seem to be the ones sweating. I’m done participating in that theater. He didn’t just lose his critics. Critics were never his problem. He lost the people who actually believed him. People like me. So no — I’m not switching sides. I’m not joining the other team. I’m just finished pretending this whole thing operates on the principles we were sold. Call it whatever you want. But the trust is gone for good. RIP MAGA.

Europeans (and eventually Americans) explored the entire world, mapped and charted every ocean and populated landmass, and then when they got bored in the 19th and 20th centuries decided they might as well go up to the North Pole and down to Antarctica and then up to the highest peak on Earth and down to the deepest depths of the ocean, and when all of that was done they went to space. The greatest indictment of our education system is that most kids will graduate grade school and then college without even the slightest appreciation of this absolutely remarkable story. A story totally unique to western civilization. No other people have ever been as hungry to know and understand the world, and as willing to give up everything, including their lives, in the pursuit.

If these words don’t light a fire in your chest, you’ve forgotten what freedom cost.
