@mkwitzke If you want the statistical yearbooks there are vendors and individuals who will supply these as electronic files. Ea yr I buy the annual stats yrbk equivalent to CDRom that used to come with the hardcopy volume. Best if someone in Cn can do so and then upload to a cloud service.

@mkwitzke The NSB site use to be good. The Statistical Yearbook was available in both HTML and Excel formats with a one year lag. Then they stopped Excel c2016. The latest volume added is the 2019, which means data for year-end 2018. The only census data are the 2010 one.

Got this email from my grad school. China just gets more difficult to study. What is the point of making it so scholars can't access dissertations, statistical yearbooks, and the population census??

@LalehKhalili That is a damning indictment that could with minor change be applied to most UK HEIs. I retired last Oct. Totally feed up. University management in the UK is an oxymoron par excellence. And I’ve been a Dean and Assoc Provost and seen it at very close quarters. Change is hard.
