@toniwriter As part of our redevelopment plans we have swung too and fro with hybrid working and open plan offices. The background noise is horrendous, you can’t have a decent seat and spend ages finding somewhere to work. Hated it.

One of the reasons I need hybrid work as a reasonable adjustment is precisely because of this. My long Covid deeply affects my cognition so now, too much noise, lights etc overstimulate me to the point of overwhelm & exhaustion & I can’t concentrate or function well.

Prosecution of Mwt officer dropped at Southwark Crown court. We are seeing this over and over, when the desire of putting Police officers before courts on tenuous "Public Interest" arguments is suddenly confronted by the Courts themselves or prosecuting Barristers who see their own credibility being suddenly under scrutiny as they attempt to argue the inarguable. Is it time judicial panels looked at the reality of these IOPC and CPS driven prosecutions and they decided outside of increasing evidence of poor or even ideological charges from the former whether a charge should be laid. standard.co.uk/news/crime/met…

@flaminhaystacks It’s been fairly common in county forces to give people a lift home. Something I hated doing. But if you refuse you get the “lawful order” thrown at you. One of my colleagues was ordered to drive someone home who had assaulted him. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

A Metropolitan Police officer who was investigating David Carrick gave the serial rapist a lift home from the police station following his arrest on suspicion of rape. One can only imagine what that Met officer thinks of rape victims too. Absolutely abhorrent and terrifying

Brick cop is spot on here, and the reality is that increasing pay won’t fix this. There has to be a fundamental shift in how we approach the service we provide, by first focusing on the welfare and wellbeing of those who deliver it. If you look after your staff, they will look after your business… something many CC’s and senior leaders have long forgotten.

Boy 3 has just actually realised - he was trying to search on you tube for footage of Mr LP 🐈‍⬛ in heaven. He said he was sad that Mr LP was going to cat heaven instead of normal heaven because he wouldn’t get to see him again one day. So if anyone needs me, I’m bawling. Again.
