@Flatvowels @DeputyGrocott At 58, went interrailing to Slovenia from Totnes with my 10 year old daughter, 13 year old son and my wife. Lovely roomy French trains. Enjoyed just looking out over changing vistas and walking through the train.

@DeputyGrocott Having fone Paris to the South of France several times, just enjoy how the view changes. The trains are comfy and you can eat in the buffet car and watch the view. The croque monsieurs are good value too.

In a few weeks we are heading to the south of France all by train (Eurostar then train through France). It takes about 10 hours in total. Any top tips or hacks? Things to take on the journey etc etc Special cushions, activities, anything really.

For what it is worth: - having a few clear rules in a school is essential - enforcing/defending them necessary - putting them on a poster aids clarity for all so is sensible

Toulouse news. Plan was to spend today in the city, then move on tomorrow. However, Toulouse & Exeter play a huge European match on Sunday, & I've got a ticket. The chance to see Antoine Dupont et al play live was too much to resist! So two days in Toulouse, then Sète on Monday.
