@SummerHartxxx @TheeRaniLane In the initial dating phases when we are trying to gauge how interested someone is going a day without texting back ( to me at least ) is a good signal that the interest is not as strong. I don’t think this is the same with established relationships/friendships.

@TheeRaniLane Sometimes I just don't know what to say yet, still thinking about the answer. Sometimes I forget, sometimes I get preoccupied. I just think it's a really bad idea to decide that someone not texting you back in an arbitrary amount of time has meaning to a relationship.

Generally speaking I am a bit skeptical of model outputs because in my own experience the best models (say, GPT 5.5 Pro) are still quite unreliable for my work. There’s some evidence they’re more reliable in some other areas!

Still underrated how uneven frontier models are within math, IMO. I’ve recently been reading through some of the more interesting solutions to Erdős problems and quite enjoying them—here the models are reliably executing nontrivial ideas, combining known techniques, etc. But…

Early in my career as an immigration lawyer I casually mentioned to a client of mine, an engineer from India, in H-1B visa status that it seemed like Indians had a natural ability to excel in math and science.

Maybe it was a politically incorrect way to say it but if the US is able to “recruit” the top 10% of every country and those people come and bring their work ethic and ability (and gene pool) — it is just really weird why we would fight that because basically no other country in the world can do that.
The top 10% of hard workers and brainpower from India and China constitutes a lot of people.

Truly abhorrent and unimaginable behavior today at the @FedSocUCLA event that hosted a @DHSgov lawyer. Leftist students repeatedly disrupted the event, yelled profanities, shouted, made their phones ping incessantly, and eventually stormed out to a rally that violated all time, place, and manner restrictions. These students can’t handle @FedSoc event about the law, but will remain students at @UCLA_Law and eventually be admitted to the Bar. It is a damning indictment on higher education that students behave so despicably.
