I don’t want to "download the app" to pay for parking. I don’t want to "create an account" to see a menu. I don’t want to "provide feedback" on a 30-second interaction. I just want to exist in the physical world without a digital leash.

This amazing family owned store started a incentive program for kids in the neighborhood that if they bring their report cards in with good grades or if their grades improve they get to pick whatever they want out of the store to eat & drink & that’s what this little boy did. ❤️

I'm old enough to remember when buying a ticket meant just buying a ticket, not downloading an app, creating an account, verifying your email, and sacrificing a goat.

@rosethaaartist Agree but I'd say it was even a decade before that. Good human behaviour is in decline.

I don't care what anyone says, after 2020 people got mean and weird. Everyone is so mean for no reason. people don't even smile anymore. People don't even strike up conversations anymore in public. People are really stuck in their phones and don't ever leave the house. What happened?

@Markmanson Possibly but the modern mindset is people want it quick, easy, less effort but full benefit. Modern attitude that has developed in the internet era. What you want delivered overnight.

Everybody wants a transformation. Nobody wants the hundred boring, thankless days it actually takes to get it.

@countrymousie @lizinrhyl @SimpleObsLife @MarianneBorn2 @Michelle71966 Same here. We get many cuts and I'm on the power company 'priority' list. No power, no phone or internet. (My provider is not BT) No fibre Broadband, how do I get any of it when we are 'switched off'? You don't!

My dad is now living with me and it has been a real eye opener as to how hard the modern world has become for the elderly. He is a highly intelligent man, fully switched on and yet he's seemingly faced with tech roadblocks with everything he tries to do. How anyone living alone

@SimpleObsLife @Michelle71966 Easier to blame the woes of the world on the older and eldest generation, demonise them as having stolen the future of young people, hoarded and exploited all the resources. Make them worthless and vulnerable then systematically rob their hard earned assets 'cos they deserve it.

Underneath it all we are all the same. Beyond our skin or gender or religion or income we are all humans needing safety and security, love and support, and feeling good about ourselves and life. More and more forget that now as they are so caught up in an image they want to show.

@TheBestqueenx Simple ideas that understand needs, can't do that with AI, a human mind that recognises the uses has created it.

Whoever came up with this design truly understands the realities of being a parent.

Forget the ice cream truck. I want a coffee truck that cruises through neighborhoods every morning, playing a little jingle so everyone knows their caffeine has arrived.

I wonder how our ancestors who worked hard, fought wars, struggled through awful times, + built what we have would think of today when that world has been taken over by those with money. I wonder how they would feel seeing their efforts end up as this. Mine would be heartbroken.

I'm far from a doom merchant but the stranglehold the financiers and mega business owners have over the world is something we should all be concerned by. They hold the very survival of billions of humans in their hands while they make greater and greater profits. Be warned.

I posted this on another person's profile in support of their family life challenge. We both have small accounts but just 24 hours later over 53k have seen it. Which proves how much everyday people care about each other....and always will. Not what the media wants to promote!!
