I have just been informed by the Ambassador of the United States to Cyprus @USAmbCy that, for the first time, a Cypriot candidate has been accepted to the US Naval Academy, @NavalAcademy This is both a symbolic and a substantive milestone. It reflects the growing depth of relations between the Republic of Cyprus and the United States and underscores our shared commitment to strengthening cooperation in security and defence — not only at the institutional level, but also through the development of the next generation of leaders. 🇨🇾🇺🇸

I used to think @PillarCatholic was less interested in headlines, and more in ethical reporting. I suppose we’ll see how this plays out…but I’ve already requested a FOIA report (which should have been their next step, prior to reporting). People have a RIGHT to their good names.

@breeadail @PhilHannaman Thanks for calling out bad reporting, Bree. I read the original article, and as a Catholic who has only had the best relationships with priests, I feared the worst. So I can't imagine what others who want to think poorly of priests thought. So grateful you picked up this story.
