“We received a call today asking us to come to the DSS office with a lawyer. The same people we have been pointing fingers at are the ones holding Justice Crack. Since his arrest, he has been handcuffed and blindfolded, kept under the sun during the day and in a cold room at night. Recently, he was secretly moved to the DSS office, while his car remains with the military.” — Randy Peterz giving an update about justice Crack, as he appreciate Nigerians who lend their voices

“I woke up this morning from a distress call from the wife of Justice Crack, as she cried out over the missing of her husband. Up till now, we are yet to find him. But one good news is that after we contacted several people, they found out that Justice’s last location was at the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) shopping complex in Asokoro, Abuja. As we all know, recently, Justice Crack has been posting about the welfare of Nigerian soldiers. But right now, we don’t want to point fingers.” — Official Gana raises alarm over the sudden disappearance of Justice Crack.

Fellow Nigerians, good morning. I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you. Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the

To Peter Obi @PeterObi From a place deeper than words, I say thank you. Not the kind of thank you people say casually. The kind that comes with a heavy chest. The kind that sits in the throat because it almost feels unfair to say it, knowing what you carry. Thank you… for choosing us. Because that is what this is. A choice. You chose to stay in a place that breaks men. You chose to fight in a system that rewards silence and punishes truth. You chose to carry a people who do not always understand the weight of what you are carrying for them. And sometimes, when I watch how you are treated… it hurts. It hurts because the same people you are trying to lift out of suffering sometimes become the ones throwing stones. The same voices you are trying to give dignity to sometimes echo the words of those who benefit from their pain. Yet you do not stop. You do not become bitter. You do not turn away. You do not say, “Let them be.” You stay. And that is what breaks me the most. Because it would have been easier for you to walk away. To sit in comfort. To protect your peace. To choose your family fully and leave the rest of us to figure out the mess we created. But you didn’t. You stood in the middle of the storm… and you are still standing. Sir, do you know what that means? It means you are carrying a love that most of us do not have the strength to carry. A love that does not depend on applause. A love that does not retreat when it is misunderstood. A love that keeps giving… even when it is not returned. That kind of love is painful. That kind of love is lonely. And I am sorry… that this country makes it harder than it should be for people like you. I am sorry that sometimes it feels like your voice is fighting against noise that refuses to listen. I am sorry that goodness has to struggle this much to breathe. But please… do not stop. Because whether loud or silent, there are people who see you. People who understand. People who draw strength from the fact that you have not given up. History will not remember the noise. It will remember the man who stood when it was easier to sit. The man who chose conscience when compromise was available. The man who refused to become what he was fighting. And for me… it is not just history. It is personal. Because in a country that sometimes makes you question if goodness still exists… you became proof that it does. Thank you for staying. Thank you for enduring. Thank you for loving a people who do not always know how to love you back. May God strengthen you in the quiet moments nobody sees. May He remind you, on the days it feels heavy, that your sacrifice is not invisible. And may you never lose the heart that made you choose us in the first place. Thank you. -Love Chijioke.

What strikes me most about this isn’t politics it’s the exhaustion underneath it. This is a man who has been attacked from every side: by the state, by allies, by critics. Yet he still wakes up and speaks about a mother whose child was kidnapped, about Nigerians in IDP camps, about hunger and hardship. That’s not noise that’s persistence. A man driven by a mission bigger than the systems trying to wear him down. Nigeria may not always match Peter Obi, but he keeps showing up for Nigeria anyway.

Lol @woye1 Woye, whatever you guys like, do it against Peter. The worst outcome is that he doesn’t contest. Would you be happy then? I feel sad for you. Tinubu will leave in four years. He is an old man. At a point he will die. But you’re still young, Woye. You have children. They will grow up in a Nigeria where their next JAMB exam trip could be the last you will see them. They will grow up in a nation where the standard of living is similar to that of Sudan. They will not be able to afford the barest of lives because they will be paying debts they never spent because Tinubu borrowed and embezzled. They will grow up in a nation where they might not be able to even dream to build a house because a bag of cement might be 25,000 by the time they become adults. Tinubu will go, but you will live in a nation where you would need to be a politician who has embezzled or a really rich person to afford a vacation. Your children won’t know what free education is because BAT has taken that away, and any hope of it coming back. But your concern is Peter Obi. You know your country is burning up but you must vilify the Igbo man to distract yourself. What a tragedy that is your life. Stories of people like you will be told to warn the future generations of the accursed. Anathema.

I know I'm not a USD centimillionaire like P.O., but that's exactly what I did at my own level. The COS and 5-year UK work visa with pathway to ILR that you people spend years killing yourselves over is what I voluntarily gave up. My nice 2-bedroom terraced house in Cowgate, Newcastle with my manicured lawn in front, my beautiful garden at the back, and my little Fiat 500 parked on my driveway is what I gave up. The person who took the property after I left is also a Nigerian and he's here on Twitter. My comfortable £40,000/year Project Management role at an electric vehicle startup, with my office window directly facing St James' Park is what I gave up. Free tickets to watch Newcastle beat PSG in the Champions League is what I gave up. I had a life that many of you would consider to be the dream, and I gave it all up and came back to Africa for one simple reason - I cannot believe in 2 contradictory things at the same time. I cannot serve and exist inside the imperial system that I hate, then come here everyday to tell Africans to rebel against that system. That would make me a hypocrite. As soon as I understood the full ugliness of the empire I was always criticising, remaining there would have been the same thing as cosigning it with my labour, my money and my participation. If you believe in something, you should be willing to sacrifice for it and even take pain for it. And if I can hold myself to that standard, then I can definitely hold my would-be political leaders to that same standard. And if it's not "fair" to expect any sacrifice from them, then they should go buy an island villa in the Maldives and sip sherries for the rest of their days. Nobody is forcing anybody to be in politics and Peter Obi is not a deity that is above criticism. Mao Zedong once led his Red Army on a 6,000km foot trek during winter without food supplies. He used to go to sleep cold and hungry like his men. That's what it can take to be a revolutionary leader. Nobody is asking Peter Obi to do even 2% of that, so why do you people always get so defensive whenever his name is mentioned in any context except blind adulation? Why aren't we allowed to ask why the Nigerian political leader whose entire platform is built on revolutionary ideas does not want to do what it takes to bring those ideas to reality? And if he's too cool to lead poor bastards like us, then what is he doing there? Why do we need him? Is he a greater or more important leader than Chairman Mao?
Tochi@stephtochi

@DavidHundeyin It's easier to say things than to maintain them. You expect him to sell his properties abroad and come to Nigeria to start fighting for people who are not ready to be liberated.

Some people treat socio-political analysis like a popularity contest, thinking you need to please the crowd by avoiding a factual breakdown. But when you ignore the facts to stay popular, you only end up looking foolish when reality hits. Yesterday, I told you the ADC would be forgotten. U see people done dey resign just by mere signal that OK dey commot? What has always sustained Atiku - the support of sitting governors - is gone; the ADC has zero governorships. His only two lifelines, Obi and Kwankwaso, have finally seen him for who he is. It’s as if they didn’t read what his former master wrote about him being a "cunning man" before they joined him in the ADC. Now, they’ve suddenly realized the truth and are leaving. Even Sowore could beat Atiku now, if not for the agitation of our Northern brothers who are desperate for power to return to the North. They mistakenly believe Atiku can solve the insecurity crisis - something even a General like Buhari couldn’t manage. Beyond that sentiment, the ADC is finished; Atiku has no real base, only a circle of corrupt, old-guard politicians.

Nigeria is the home of absurdities in the world. The salary of the president on paper is 1,500,000 ($997) Nomination form: 100,000,000 ($71,000) Salary of Governor on paper: 900,000 ($640) Nomination form: 50,000,000 ($35,000) You then wonder why corruption is widespread!!!

My God. College graduates are running for congress in the US because it costs almost nothing to do. You as an ordinary citizen should be able to contest for the presidency. The 100m bottleneck in the world’s poverty headquarters should concern you. It means you can never be president and whoever can afford that would most likely be corrupt. But all that is okay to you as long as it gives you a chance to take digs at Peter Obi. Sigh
Premier@SodiqTade

Obidients are now complaining about the cost of nomination forms. Lmaooooo. Politics is extremely expensive in Nigeria the reason Obi has been flying Private Jets around to consult with stakeholders across the country. If Obi can fly PJ, he can also buy a 100m Presidential form.

Dear @aonanuga1956 Your fixation and obvious obsession with Peter Obi is so unhealthy that it can only be down to one thing and one thing only. You and your principal know something that the rest of the world does not know about that 2023 election. Nigerians also know what you think you're hiding. Your behaviour betrays you. 2027 will be very different.
Bayo Onanuga, OON, CON@aonanuga1956

We told you so. The political nomad is on the move again. Ignore all those puerile reasons he gave in these illogical musings, a self-serving letter to his mob. Peter Obi is a politician made of jelly, an opportunistic fellow. He can't fight Atiku or Amaechi for the ticket of ADC. He pursues the easy road, that will only lead him to doom, like in 2023. He always blames the government without doing a soul-searching of himself. Welcome, Peter to the 2027 race.
