@Swiggy @SwiggyCares there needs to be an option to say I'm not in a hurry, drive safely, especially when it's raining. I don't need the guaranteed delivery time to be met.

This is where every Indian lost faith in them. This is where we bent the knee in front of the enemy even after having an upper hand. This is the moment that broke the morale of even our armed forces. This is the moment we failed as a Nation. #ceasefirevoilation

India and Pakistan have both nuclear weapons and I truly hope that they will never use them or it will be catastrophic I am also worried about possible retaliations in Europe , especially in UK where there are many Pakistani and Indians Even if it is not our war , it would be better to alarm UK and other countries armies

@amazon @amazonIN My son had ordered a chair via Order# 406-2881770-2621126 on Oct 30-2021. The product was defective and was returned. He has not received the refund yet. The price is INR 19,999. Please investigate ASAP and close. It is 2 months and does tantamount to cheating.

The Dawn of History in Southeast Asia This inscription is arguably the oldest written document is the history of Southeast Asia and intriguingly, it starts with what seems to be an outrageous fib.

A 6-year-old & his best friend tiger began exploring the mysteries, profundities, and humors of childhood (& tuna sandwiches) exactly 30 years ago today (Nov 18,1985). Watterson's decade of work has captivated fans worldwide & is still every bit as relevant today, 36 years later!

@MalakpetD @DonitaJose People should stop buying houses in Lake Catchment areas, and officers/ politicians doing/ encouraging such construction must be taken to task. Existing constructions must be demolished and the residents provided compensation or govt housing. Is there political will? Civic sense?

@JustinSandefur What is needed is more long term action research that is actually 'action' research. The work of Pratham is a good example of how to go about it.

“Nothing scales.” Harsh verdict, and we do talk about this a lot more these days, but still maybe not enough in the ‘evidence community’.

@tarunsmehta The belief is true for the Indian context though, and I'm sure it's also true for most emerging markets.

Belief: iPhone is for a small part of the market where you can go for high margins. Reality: iPhones maintain a 13-20% GLOBAL market share and iPhone 11 was THE highest selling model in 2019. Funny that we don't think of the highest selling product as mass market.

@ForrestFleisch1 I know you have said in your thread that this is only for kangra, that you haven't found many studies for other regions, but that skepticism is warranted. Why would you say skepticism is warranted? Out of a general sense of caution, or anything systemic that you have found?

India has attempted large scale forest restoration for decades. We have just published one of the first systematic evaluations of these efforts. We find that decades of tree planting have had almost no impact on forest canopy cover or rural livelihoods. A Thread.

During the pandemic, we recognised sanitation workers as ‘Essential workers’ & lauded them as ‘Frontline Warriors’. Our Dy. Director @meghnamalhotra & program manager @somani_prerna wrote an article about their extreme vulnerability and the path forward. bit.ly/3kWT1au
