@kemp1936 And a show called Whirleybirds…about helicopters…I loved it.

@SkepticalHusky I see that Casey Jones had Alan Hale from Gilligan’s Island. I never knew about that show.
Champion the Wonder Horse - I figured it was British because I never heard of it before either. Fascinating!

@kemp1936 Oh yes, Casey Jones, Champion the Wonder Horse, Lassie…

@SkepticalHusky I think of myself as a late 60s/70s kid. I’m a year and a half older than you. I grew up with 50s TV reruns, so I relate to the 50s, too. ⬇️

Did you have 50s reruns to watch growing up?

@SkepticalHusky The early 60s had a lot of cultural satire. The clash of culture between the more traditional and the hippie/liberal. The clash is still happening with each side getting the upper hand at times. Were you aware of it as a youngster?

@kemp1936 I wasn't born until 1963, so I don't remember him , but I do remember my parents speaking very warmly about him

@SkepticalHusky It looks like a humorous social commentary movie. I appreciate when it’s done in a good-natured way. We really need movies like that today!

@SkepticalHusky I never heard of it. So, I watched a clip of the scene of him ordering a cappuccino. It was funny! I’ll put it on my to watch list.

@MercerCait You cannot polish a turd,,,even a Green one. It’s no accident that they and their bearded groupies share the same livery.

Good morning, John @JohnTizard & thank you, as always. With it being #SundayMorning, here's a great favourite of mine that might be appropriate to show today. This is "Church near Blackheath" by Elwin Hawthorne from 1934. It is in the collection at Manchester City Art Gallery.

Good morning, Alan Another Sunday means another opportunity to enjoy your weekly post with the iconic “Sunday Morning, Farringdon Road” by Cecil Osborne. Your posts with this painting never fail to please. Thank you.
