@RenzaS I was diagnosed with trigger thumbs “because its really common in PWD”, surgery as the only possible option. Except a side conversation with a naturopath later that week diagnosed a food intolerance and a month and some PT later 90% of all problems disappeared sans surgery.

@PBlueNovember I do a version of this with my meter too.... Check BG, put away meter. (30seconds later) Forget result. Pull meter back out to check memory, but running self via ‘autopilot mode’ accidentally RETEST BG instead of check meter memory...

@KodyMorris17 @Pancreassassin Start with 2, wait 10-20 minutes and test with a meter to see if you need more. Old rule was eat 15 carbs and test in 15min, but theres a big difference between treating a low of steady@69 or falling@45. Find @JuiceboxPodcast for treating highs & lows without rebounds!

@Pancreassassin New t1 here diagnosed at 28. When y’all are low, how many glucose tabs do you normally take? The kind I have has 4 grams of carbs per tablet and I have no idea how many to take. I always way overshoot my glucose when I’m low. Any tips on how to prevent going way high after a low

I am (and refer to others as) a Person With Diabetes to keep myself separate from the many inanimate objects that have hijacked the previous nomenclature. #IAmNotSocks

Was writing about about 'language matters' and in doing so had to write the word 'diabetic' as an example of non-inclusive. Grammarly noted it and advised some people may find that word non-inclusive - love it
