@MoonOverlord Do you see Robinhood as someplace to invest as it caters to a lot of retail currently or hype eventually starts taking that market share?
English

I thought hyperliquid would be similar to binance and that itll have a bybit and various other exchanges thatll do well along side it
but think it may become more of a robinhood that has 10 different verticals of revenue where they basically dominate everyone else to the point nobody can compete, what is the bybit to robinhood comparison? feels like it doesnt exist
we're already seeing this with wallets, basically every crypto wallet now has HL integrated as their default perp relayer / choice
theres probably another 20 startups that were supposed to do something with stocks onchain / stock perps and hip-3 finished off most of those
TradeXYZ just today added pre-ipo markets which basically takes out ventuals entire platform
and hip-4 (prediction markets) will polish off anyone not named polymarket and maybe kalshi

DVB@DeepValueBagger
I certainly setup myself with great odds to make money and make even more money if I'm lucky. But it's getting really wild now. I went from $5m to touching $7m in span of 2-3 weeks.

@JasonL_Capital How do you roll down an option? Buy back your current one and then buy a cheaper put?
English

You could buy 100 shares of $RKLB right now for ~ $8,200
Or you could sell the $70 cash-secured put expiring 5/22 and get paid $300 to wait.
Why I like this setup:
Electron has 50+ launches and is the only operational Western small-launch vehicle. Neutron targeting first flight late 2026. $816M Space Force contract to build 18 missile-tracking satellites. $190M HASTE hypersonics deal. $1.85B backlog, up 73% YoY.
Three possible outcomes:
1. $RKLB stays above $70
You keep the $300. That's a 4.3% return on capital in 28 days. Annualized: ~56%.
2. $RKLB drops but you still like the stock
Roll the put down and out to a lower strike and later expiration. Collect more premium. Get paid to wait at an even better price.
3. $RKLB drops below $70 and you get assigned. You buy 100 shares at $70, but your real cost basis is $67.00 because of the premium collected. That's an 18% discount from today's price. Then you start selling covered calls.
That's the power of selling options.

Threadguy thinks Gen Z peptide kids are better than milllenials and it’s not even close
“I think the zoomer and Gen alpha kids are gonna be alright. Gen Z and Gen Alpha have never been more about it from a POV of making things happen”
“Bonesmashing might not be the most optimistic thing in the world but give me the peptide generation over the iPad generation any day of the week”
“Whatever happens, no generation can be worse than millennials, seriously”

@Scott_Wiener You literally want to have less consequences for adults who commit sex crimes with 14 year old girls.
You are quite literally THE psycho
English

Nah, not President. But Congress, yes. And Nick Shirley is definitely a psycho scam artist.

Tom Lee sees the S&P 500 hitting 7,300 in the near term.
But then… a -20% drawdown.
Short term:
• Earnings are still growing (Q1 strength)
• Oil spike won’t meaningfully impact inflation
Then the risk hits:
• Market tests the new Fed stance
• Valuations get re-rated after years of strong gains
• Policy shocks from the White House
This is the setup: momentum first, reality later.
The market isn’t cheap.
But many individual stocks are.
That’s where the opportunity is.

Threadguy warns: SpaceX IPO is following a predictable script
“I think that SpaceX IPO-ing is the most bearish announcement in development that could ever happen to Tesla, this is the single worst case scenario for Tesla bulls”
“Crypto and NFT traders are uniquely positioned to understand exactly what this means, every time EVER in the history of cryptocurrency when a dev team, a founder has launched a second token, both of them just end up going to zero”
English

@Jeremybtc But once your term coverage runs out you get rated at whatever age you are then and usually much more expensive. Gotta consider that too
English

A whole life insurance policy for a healthy 30 year old costs $440 a month.
A term life policy with the exact same $500,000 coverage costs $21 a month.
That's a $419 difference every month.
If you bought the term policy and invested that $419 difference into an S&P 500 index fund from age 30 to 65, you'd have over $1.6 million sitting in your account.
And your family is still fully covered the entire time.
Whole life insurance is a scam.
